Many people will never know how it is to be a solider army,miltiary, us navy, air force, my friend is airforced and i think he going to stay a couple more years, my brother gouhht in iraq and afgainstan yes its bad my mom would send like tooth paste tuth brush etc... its sad about innoncnet people dying trying to help them get a good life. thank you for your serivce. and thank you all for the rest for your service not much to give to you for what you guys have done.
It's not whether you believe in the war or not. War at any level is a terrible thing. But sometime it is necessary. These young men and women made a choice to do something, to make a difference. It's not for us to judge them for there rights and there beliefs. Honor that choice or beliefs. I've seen more bodies, more hate than I care too. I am an US Army veteran from the Viet Nam era. I agree. No one hates war more than those who have to fight it. Regardless of the reasons for war. I do and always will support our troops and thier families. The soldier, marine, sailor and airmen made a choice that they thought was right. Who am I to judge them. At least they made a choice to stand for what they believe in. And I'm very proud to be called a brother by them.

That's what sickens me about the whole situation. It's been decades since a soldier has died for our freedoms. They're out there dying for our nation's willful ignorance of history and unwillingness to see our government for what it has become. All the while, the people pissing on our Constitution, our founding father's dreams, and the sacrifice of our soldiers are getting richer and richer. It's disgusting, and I'm tired of being called unpatriotic for calling our nation out on its faults.
In response to video-- imagine if men and women were not so gullable about the so-called honor of war. Isn't supporting troops the same as supporting their actions, their obedience to carrying out orders whether wrong or right? I don't see the difference. What is to stop a soldier from dehumanizing or killing me or any other citizen just because they are paid and given orders to do so? When such time comes, shall we support our troops then? Where is the logic?

No. But OUR country's men and women serving and seeing some of the most horrific sights/missions deserve to know that their country supports them and will be here for them when they return home. This does not mean I easily dismiss the suffering of the other side or the suffering of war. But it does mean I know my priorities.

There was never any reason to believe the troops would be treated well by Washington after returning home from the wars. There wasn't historical precedent for believing the contrary and it's why I posted several or more times in discussion forums during the run-up politics to the war on Iraq, calling on the youth and others of the USA to wake up to the REALITY of how Washington has LONG betrayed, reneged on its obligations towards the troops after returning home, as well as in the war zones.

@DsrtWolf Taking a closer look at your video, I want to APOLOGIZE for using the word propaganda! Going to War at 12 and 13 had to be a lot worse than at 18 in my case. Those that only know War via movies, books, videos and NEWS clips have no clue. Even being incountry and behind the wire is nothing like upfront and personally on the battlefied in a firefight. My first time all dead and wounded around me, my rifle destroyed, kept getting hit with shrapnel. Eyes, throat, lungs burning.

This is not to disparage our soldiers; God love them and BRING THEM HOME. There's more to do here in the States than overseas anywhere. Our boys and girls don't have to die in some forgeign land or lose their limbs elsewhere; they can stay home and contribute much more here.
My father was in the navy and My uncle & his girlfriend were in the marines and my aunt wantss to join and I plan on joining aswell. I want to be in the navy just like my dad.
There's a lot of things to be said. Many wouldn't understand the reality of it, nor the words that could, much less would be used to describe it. I'll admit, while I am in Afghanistan I do not know the horrors others have seen yet. I have, however, been affected but those horrors. Well said, buddy. I've been there too. Those who are challenging this video may have gone and may have served but didn't see the war we know. War is hell, its unmerciful and disgusting. When you've lost brothers in arms, when you've heard their last screams and when you've limped back to base without them you realize war isn't about glory or honor and you look forward and hope it never comes to this again. We know the cause, trust me we do. we also know the sacrifice where they rarely meet.
To think of all those men and women who have served in the name of my country, of happiness of life, liberty and the pursuit , is a touching thing that we, a nation celebrate once a year in November-- Veterans day. But to me it means thinking about the care and respect we provide for those who fought for us over the years. No, I think that that is a pretty accurate assesment. If you have never been in combat, you have no clue what you're getting into. Combat can't be described to you, you can't understand it because you read it in a book.

While most did not know initially what they were getting into, there are some of us who after seeing the fight, the reason we were sent became irrelevant. Im 17 years old and just enlisted in the US Army. Upon finishing this year as a senior I will ship out to Ft Benning then to Ft Sam Houston... With my completion of training I am going to be a Combat Medic... I am going to everything I can to save my fellow soldiers and fight for my country. This is a decision I will not regret.

I think Bush is trying to cover up his mistake by getting rid of people who served in the military during the Iraq war. Most of the soldiers are being bullied followed and harassed. Some of them have been placed on the FBI Terror Watch List and are watched constantly. They don't have normal lives, and are constantly worrying about their survival. Many of the suicides are forced suicides induced by the government.

i'm a 14 year old boy. i had never really gotten to see 9/11 happen but when i saw that tower then the rubble....then the cross....i have been atheist in my heart for so long. something made me cry and my blood ran still as i looked at that for the first time in my life. for the first time in my life i have found Christ in me. something about a cross sticking out of devastation made me feel something other than hate for that day. it made me feel love and hope that we are not alone here.

After about a year in the U.S Army, I was discharged due to injuries sustained in my back. Every single night, as I'm sliding off my boots, I cant help but think about my friends still over there. I think about my friends about to leave. I think about my family I've lost and the family about to go and I do my best to fight back tears. I will do the same, but im going army. but hopefully by the time you & me are there its over im grateful but the war is sad

thank you for posting i lost 2 of my buddies during OEF X-XI, but i also saw the fruits of my labours when the local workers thanked me and also the afghan security guards who gave me an afghan name the felt i deserve i answered to it with pride because i earned their respect and trust.

There was never any reason to believe the troops would be treated well by Washington after returning home from the wars. There wasn't historical precedent for believing the contrary and it's why I posted several or more times in discussion forums during the run-up politics to the war on Iraq, calling on the youth and others of the USA to wake up to the REALITY of how Washington has LONG betrayed, reneged on its obligations towards the troops after returning home, as well as in the war zones.

Those that only know War via movies, books, videos and NEWS clips have no clue. Even being incountry and behind the wire is nothing like upfront and personally on the battlefied in a firefight. While most did not know initially what they were getting into, there are some of us who after seeing the fight, the reason we were sent became irrelevant. I think Bush is trying to cover up his mistake by getting rid of people who served in the military during the Iraq war. Most of the soldiers are being bullied followed and harassed. Some of them have been placed on the FBI Terror Watch List and are watched constantly. They don't have normal lives, and are constantly worrying about their survival. Many of the suicides are forced suicides induced by the government.

you are not alone my friend i was in iraq in 08 and i seen both sides of it i seen the fighting and also the helping the children that we did while i was there its crazy that there are 2 sides to the coin that some people hate us bein there and others love us at the same time not too many people know the things you talk about but for those of us that have been over there its easily seen thank you for being a patriot

i'm a 14 year old boy. i had never really gotten to see 9/11 happen but when i saw that tower then the rubble....then the cross....i have been atheist in my heart for so long. something made me cry and my blood ran still as i looked at that for the first time in my life. for the first time in my life i have found Christ in me. something about a cross sticking out of devastation made me feel something other than hate for that day. it made me feel love and hope that we are not alone here.

I would like to think that Im a strong person, not very emotional, but today I sat and watched this video and as I listened this warm liquid dripped from my cheek onto my desk Ive listened to this video atleast 5 times already!!! After about a year in the U.S Army, I was discharged due to injuries sustained in my back. Every single night, as I'm sliding off my boots, I cant help but think about my friends still over there. I think about my friends about to leave. I think about my family I've lost and the family about to go and I do my best to fight back tears. This was a powerful video and I dont think a lot of people truly understand. People think im insane when I say I feel cheated for being home. I let them down.

@dragonslayerone1 Im the same way, im only 13 but I know what I want to do, pretty much all of my family generation has served all the way back to WWI (thats as far back as we know for sure) an d my brother was a kid when he said he wanted to join the military, now he is about to enlist in the marines, once he graduates his last year of high school and JROTC he is going in. I will do the same, but im going army. but hopefully by the time you & me are there its over im grateful but the war is sad
