the other thing is that the whole point of dunkirk was that hundreds of thousands of men were swarming around in total chaos, with the Germans bombing them. Here, it is ridiculous because you can hear the seagulls and absolutely no noise at all to suggest he's in the middle of a war zone! It looks like a nice day out at the sea side, which is hardly the point they're trying to make.

I agree, he keeps slipping into Aussie. Tries too hard to sound mid 20th century Cockney. I am a Yorkshireman and can spot his accent as false. Sounds like the kinda guy who tells war stories in the pub after half a dozen pints and has in truth never even seen a German uniform.
