i got a sonic plush from a normal claw machine at the walmart in my town. 5 tries for one on its side and gave up. a week or two later they refilled the claw machine and there was a sonic standing up agianst a bunch of other plushes. so i go for the head (which is pretty obvious) and grabbed it as it was going up i was like WOAH WOAH.

Wow you're so lucky...I've only been there once in my entire life in Dallas. I passed by it once at Las Vegas but that was years ago, before I was interested in Sonic the Hedgehog plushes.

i use to have a shadow and sonic plush i won at a balloon dart game but i both lost them to my dog D: yet when i went to my uncle's in florida, his wal-mart had one of those with silver,tails,amy cream and knuckles. but like every other crane machine its ever impossible or you get close then lose it :(

Imo, Sega UFO Catcher machines are the only crane machines that are fair. The crane is usually strong enough to grab the prizes, (and the prizes inside are usually awesome.) The only down side is that you only get to control left/right and back/forth, each direction only ONCE.

Whoops, never mind, the newer generations of the UFO Catcher machines now allow the use of joysticks. Oh, I am still stuck in my childhood times, lol. (Then that officially makes them the best crane machines of all models. Yeah!!)

Your suppose to roll them closer to the door opening and stand them up and roll them over the little wall so they can just fall, but that worked too i guess!

That's my strategy. I worked on the assumption that the claws are always too soft to grab anything. But that's because most prizes in JP are either A) too small and rounded to grip in the first place, or B) too huge, heavy, and/or taped to move.

It looks like why Jerry's so successful is because of all the appendages sticking out everywhere from his targets.

hey thanks. On an average Gameworks day, I usually spend $25 to $35 just on the UFO Catchers alone. Sometimes I do spend another $25 for a 2-hour time card to play video games.
