  • I think that kids are just more aware of the effects of the economy these days...and they're actually dealing with more issues at a younger age and so they are more opinionated about social issues...I think it's good that they are aware...I don't think it's "popularity" that did it...it's reality for them!

  • This is soooo beautiful.

  • This dance is totally Amazing

  • excellent, you guys were amazing

  • *claps claps* brava

  • amazing....nice work.

  • Amazing work...that gave me goosebumps!

And to the two people fighting...dont you think it's a little ironic that you were fighting over people's rights...yet you forgot the right to freedom of speech. Your both allowed your own opinion

  • This was amazing dancing! I love the song and how it adresses the serious issue that go on in the world that most people don't bother to worry to about.

  • just a great routine

    nothing else

  • mismindles-

did you ever consider that they wanted to do this song? That its most likely a public school and you cant take away someones right to free speech?

they arent harming anyone...they are just expressing themselves!

this is a gorgeous routine! I love it!

    You were all amazing!

  • I already assumed it was a public school. If free speech were actually allowed in school then kids could feel free to use the F word whenever they felt like it or preach in the hallways if they felt so moved. I suppose if my teen were allowed to walk out in the middle of the performance then it might be different, but most school's don't just let you walk out.

I'm sure they DID want to do this song. That's what I find most disturbing. Bush hate is popular & kids care about popular!

  • This is alumni as the title says,

so therefore, it's people who have already graduated.

They are'nt kids anymore, but adults.

  • this lyrical was BEAUTIFUL!

interesting choice of song too! Good job over all! keep it up! :)

  • We have to join Pink and vote Ron Paul into Office in 2008 to end the war in Iraq, possible war in Iran, and the corruption in our government! Join the Ron Paul Revolution! youtube Ron Paul

  • LOVE IT

  • Okay i kinda doubt it but if anyone here dances at Lisa Naves Dance Studio in Simcoe Ontario, then you should agree with me that this was nowhere near the Blood and Tears routine, and Lisa should post it on youtube, but this is stilL AMAZING!

  • the beggining was good.everything else was meh.

  • You're right indeed about it being a good number. You guys did SO spectacular. It was an AMAZING performance. Great job! get some more vids up if you can!

  • it was amazing! :) loved it!

  • beautiful to watch, but it disturbs me that your school let you perform this song. I know my son would walk out of this performance because the song is inappropriate and sometimes you just have to take a stand. If I found out that a song like this was played at his high school I'd be at the office demanding an explanation!

  • I say Amen to this song.

This is an amazing dance. I cried when I watched it.

Now, at my dance show.. when they played Personal Jesus by Marilyn Manson. I was disturbed.

  • Im not trying to be rude.. but I honestly have a question. Why does this song bother you so much? I mean is it because it's questioning the person this country has put into office? Is it because of the topics it discusses? such as drinking, drugs, homosexuality? I mean, it's a beautiful song! even my mom likes it, and agrees with it as much as I do.

  • tess:it implies our president hates gay people causes homelessness, suggests he sleeps while people cry when he cries a/b things 2, that he not be proud, that "No child Left Behind" causes people 2 B N prison when that's the opposite of what the program is 4! The whole song makes me angry! Being pres. is hard. Pink belittles the office of pres. & I'm not fond of that but the nature of the topics R inappropriate 4 kids IMO.

  • well lets see... Im gay, I can say a lot about that. If he cared a bit more about us then there wouldn't be such harrasment in school AND on the streets and nothing being done about it. I have a friend that while in school last week a kid threw bricks at him! one hit him, the other barely missed his head. what was done about that? NOTHING! not by the school, cops, or anyone around.

People look up to the president.. or most do, isn't he supposed to show us to take control of our actions?

  • Tess:While what happened 2 U & your friends is tragic, it's not an issue that should B handled by the office of Pres. it's a hate crime & should be addressed to the FBI. Laws should be changed by the state level gov't not federal. I challenge U 2 write 2 your state representatives & U will get much more done than through the federal gov't anyway.

  • Tess:cont...The president can't handle every single situation that happens in this country. Children R abused everyday, people R murdered, discrimination, corporate crime that bankrupts the investors and their families, & to them, that issue is just as important as yours, but for just a moment let's remember that the president can't possibly be involved in every issue that happens in this country.

  • 1st. I've written letters to my state officers (representives). We've tried to pass adminment I (a discrimination law) but guess what, that was voted against by colorado.

  • Tess: I forgot to address this issue: it's hard to pass a discrimination law b/c too many people are afraid they will be forced to hire a gay person simply b/c they are gay. What it sounds like you really need is a law against hate crimes or violence against gay people. That is what I was talking about. I don't know who wouldn't vote yes for a bill against hate crimes.

  • Well I guess in my mind, though I am involved in many orginizations that are working hard to do just that, I don't think it's going to change much in my life time. The way Gay's are treated is almost like how Blacks were treated 50 years ago... And just because theres laws against discrimination against blacks does that mean that someone HAS to hire them simply because they're black? No.

  • When I worked at a MAJOR chocolate making co. I saw them go 2 court over firing a lady who worked there. She was fired b/c she was a lazy employee, but she sued them 4 discrimination b/c she was gay. They settled w/ her to avoid a public spectacle. Also, churches would have to hire someone who was gay if they applied & were qualified & that scares a lot of people. A company owned by a gay person wouldn't hire someone who had a problem w/ their being gay, so Y should it B the other way around?

  • I know many homosexuals that live in fear (mostly out) about what might happen to them while they walk down a street. I don't think anyone should be scared to be who they are, and I also feel that discrimination against us is somewhat the problem in the hate crimes against us. I don't live far from where Matthew Shepard was murdered... the hate against the gay community has grown since then and it's sad.

  • Wether or not the he hates gay people is beyond me. but Im gay and I do know a bit of what is going on in the country with that. He isn't doing anything against homophobia, discrimination against the gay community, or hate crimes. I have a friend that is now scared to go to school because of what he's had to deal with from his classmates.

this is going to be a couple of posts.

  • Just a couple of weeks ago another boy hid his clothes while in P.E., then wouldn't tell him where they were after punching him in the face and kicking him where it counts.. then when he finally told where they were, he threw 2 bricks at him. one hit him and one nearly missed his head! What did anyone do about that? NOTHING!

  • He may not be CAUSING homelessness.. but he dosn't seem to be doing much about it. and yes, he does sleep while the others cry.. and sometimes the crying is a direct affect to his choices.

I don't think that that is what she's saying here about "no child left behind" I know I sturgled through school.. I'm not a test taking person and I hated the state testing, untill I was a Junior when I didn't have to take the stupid thing.

  • I think that the whole "no child left behind" act was stupid! cus guess what, I feel like I was left behind and didn't learn as much as I could have because teachers have to worry about just teaching the stuff that is on the tests. which you've learned like 20 times before that (most of the time).

  • Tess:this is jargon you've heard from teachers. "teachers can't teach regular stuff b/c they have 2 teach 2 the tests" the tests cover what U need to know in each grade! If U don't know it, U didn't learn it. The fact is, before NCLB teachers & schools weren't held accountable. That is scary!

  • mis:cont. 2nd. it isnt jargon i've heard from teachers. It's an opinion of MINE. I mean going into 11th grade I was at a 6.0 writing level and a 8 grade reading level!

  • mis:cont. that meant within 2 years I had to go from those to a college level and if it wasn't for Mrs. Oliver (My english teacher both years) I wouldn't have done it. And for Junior year in her class at least the test that she was teaching the first semester mostly, and vocab in second semester was to one that would actually be doing something for us.. getting us into colleges and somewhere in life.

  • Tess: I don't want to sound rude here, but my son ALSO takes the tests and his teachers must be doing a better job, b/c he's in 6th grade and his reading level is that of an 11th grader in the seventh month and his comprehension/writing level is that of a 9th grader in the 4th month. To me, your scores prove that obviously someone is not doing their job properly.

  • Yes, people might not have liked her but the fact is, she's a really good teacher! I didn't have to do compository english, only because of what she taught! last week for our vocab, I knew EVERY single word because it was on my junior year vocab list with almost 500 more. To me, kids should be learning things to get them into college and to better their lives not to get the state money or see how the teachers are doing.

weird place but idc. it goes after my 2nd.

  • Tess: it sounds like this teacher is doing a wonderful job, but I don't think it's due to her not teaching to the test, I just think she really cares and works to educate her students. I have no doubt that my son will be fully prepared for college when he goes because his school is fantastic.

  • well thats good for your son. you should be proud and so should he... but he grew up in a generation after mine... there was a time that I knew with out the act while I was in school..

And she's the only reason I was prepared for college. she pushed us to the limit. now it's just my opinion and how I see it. I don't like the act, thats all there is to it.

  • Tess:unemployment is at an all time low! Some, NOT ALL homeless people are homeless by choice. This, I know about because I work with a homeless shelter. They cannot deal with the demands of a normal life and when offered a job, they often turn it down. I give to homeless causes and sometimes I feel like I am throwing my money down the drain. Not ALWAYS, but sometimes...

  • tess: cont...Oprah even gave a homeless man $100,000 and a job and an apartment and 3 months later he was homeless and out of money. he said he just didn't like the responsibility of it all. Again, though, this is a state issue, not a federal gov't issue.

  • Ok.. you contridicted yourself.. The people that turn down jobs, don't have money because of it, and are homeless are homeless by choice. They CHOOSE not to take the job.

same thing with the homless man that Oprah gave money to. His CHOICE was to be homeless after those 3 months. nobody eles.

  • I don't think that the act should exsist... I don't think kids in first grade should have to stress about a stupid test, neither should people in the 10th grade. now ACTs and SATs those are worth carrying about.. those get you somewhere.

    ok. thats it.

  • i happen to be 17 and it makes me angry that you say that the topics are inappropriate for "kids"! We arent kids!!!! We are the future leaders of this country! We are the power! Don't you sit here and belittle US for voicing our opinions and belifs! Just because we ar young doesn't mean we dont have a voice. I watch the news every single day and i have a right to know whats going on and it angers me to think that you think its inappropriate for me to know whats going on...when it is my right!

  • i don't recall belittling anyone. i don't see how you are correlating this video with what's going on in the news. What she is singing a/b it not what's really going on in the lives of everyday people. Adults in this country are concerned w/ taxes, Social sec. or the lack thereof, and their rising mortgage interest. Kids or "teens" care a/b what Pink is singing a/b so enjoy, I guess.

  • you kinda have a point its supposed to be an actual letter to Bush when he was still in office

  • Let me just say something. It's very hard to keep lyricals together, especially since there's so much to do with your bodies and everybodys body works differently. You guys did great. You were almost altogether. Your fouette's were so close! Anyway, nice job.

  • dont like the song? put it on mute!!

  • wow this is the most amazing number i've seen in a while. i love it so much.

  • U guys are awesome! I love lyrical!!!

  • I was surprised with the fouettes that you were somewhat on--BEAUTIFUL choice of music (one of my Fav songs) Though the movement was off on a lot of areas, I think you had choregraphically a successful piece. Good job--you gave me goosebumps!

  • that was realy good but ud be much better if u wer al togetheer

  • man u guys are good.i really love dancing myself but i just dont have a chance to.i feel so envious.

  • AMAZING SONG!!! AMAZING CHOICE!!! You guys did a good job!!! it could have used sooo much anger and pasion in the steps and movements.... but overall!! IT WAS GREAT!!! KUDOS TO YOU ALL!!!

  • Wow.. Nice job, guys! Lyrical is one of my favorite calsses out of the 6 that I take at my dane school. You guys did fantabulous! ;]

  • this is so good .. i saw it like 40 times already .. greatjob

  • aww this dance is sooo pretty...I Love it..and Im Loving the song to!! Great Choice!

  • Horrible camera. It gave me a headache viewing it.

Horrible music selection. Why do you educators feel the need to push your political views upon others? Otherwise... you guys did a great performance.

  • At times.. i have to agree with the camera part.. .but not every one is perfect!

But I think this was an awesome music selection for MODERN/LYRICAL story... cus both are telling a story.. especially Lyrical. and Pink being a very popular artist.. and this being one of her most popular songs.. i think its a good way for people to hear it.. and wwho ever said that we are pushing political views? (no.. im not in the vid.. or have anything to do with the performance)

  • Well Im a dancer as well.. and you guys did a REALLLY good job! And I love the music... Great job guys!.. and girls!

  • thank you!

  • No problem! keep up the good work tho!

  • that's nice im talking to myself here!
