@nevrenufhp ok thanks. how much hp can this pump handle? i have an 88 model dt 466. kinda new to them but i know the older idi 6.9 and 7.3 liters and the powerstrokes pretty good. just trying to learn some on these now
@nevrenufhp i have intentions of cramming the 466 in a 86 f250. and running twins. id like to be making somewhere around 600hp or so nothing to radical so its still streetable. can the stock pump and injectors push enough fuel for the twins. kinda thinking holset hx35s but idk if they will support 600hp. any help is much appriciated. im pretty sure the stock turbo is a t04 it looks like a chrismas tree ornimate. i dont think itll get the job done lol
Neither can provide that much fueling. Bigger injectors, and pump work are required. An HX35 would spoolup nice & quick for it, just dont use the 12cm exhaust housing, a 16 would be better. Dont go by boost numbers when all is said & done. A Cummins 6BT with an HX35/HT3B may make 60pounds, and the 466 may only make 45. Yes, the T04 is tiny, and the compressor wheel on an HX35 is about 3mm bigger.
accually its the vt365 which is the 7.3 Power Stroke i dont know that the 7.3 IDI was ever called a VT365 and the old idi motors were 6.9 abd 7.3

@thesportbikeman
Actually a VT365 is a 6 liter. A T444E is a 7.3 Powerstroke, and a 6.9 is 420 ci. IH called the IDI engines by their litre size(6.9, 7.3).
1 litre is roughly 61.023 cubic inches.

with timing advanced,gov. spings tightend. and the pump turned up with a #0 fuel plate what kinda hp and tq should a dt466 be making?

@ctownpowerstroke
If you have the pump that takes a 0 plate, it depends on the original rating. Generally, 30-50hp above stock.
This style pump that's in the videos can get close to the same gains.

@nevrenufhp other than hypermax where can i get the bigger injectors and pump?

@ctownpowerstroke
Sheids, Columbus, and a few others. You can even find some used ones on the pulloff site's classifieds.
