@barber747 Funky and funny. It's interesting to see some of the stuff they put in ads back in those days. If only they would do some of the same stuff in the modern day ads.
Great clip. Thanks for posting. (They're all great, by the way.)
Can you imagine how long it must have taken to film and produce these commercials? Look at the Ford Mustang commercial - each split-second scene had to be planned, composed, and shot, then edited. It's *a lot* of work.
Is it just me, or is it kind of icky to think about some guy sticking his head in a public fountain? (I'm referring to the shot at 3:45.) I'm guessing that it's a fountain - who knows what else it could be.
what more could i want?

I like watching these old commercials. Some of them are pretty funky to say the least. Thanks for posting them, barber.

I know. To start off, they need to refrain from spamming the airwaves & wasting space w/ those retarded cellphone ads (ie, Sprint, Cricket, etc.).

In a November 2000 interview with the Chicago Tribune, Lester Holt said that he shaved it off in mid-April 2000.
He left Chicago in July 2000. (His last broadcast aired on Friday, June 30, 2000.)
He started at MSNBC around mid-July..
