Mercedes are going down hill in my opinion. 90s mercs were very reliable and you were spending well. The new mercs dont look like mercs anymore. They just remind me of any other car the market. The lights are becoming more square unlike a merc. They have also copied Audi with the dots in the lights as well as Vovlo,bmw and more. Audi in 5 years will be the best car germans have to offer. I'm sticking to my old school MERCS 1998 C class and my new E class 2007 320 sport.

This is a superb car and it looks lovely in this excellent well presented video. It is basically very elegant and dignified to look at. The normal E Class has such a lovely ride quality and Mercedes have gone to infinite trouble and expense during endless testing. This car will definitely get my money in time !!!!!

There's a recall for battery issues now. My dad's was one of them, but we just got it fixed. Other than that this thing is pretty good. Smooth, luxurious, packed with technology (Most we never really use), and pretty powerful. The panoramic sunroof is almost a must-have once you've sampled it. My dad doesn't usually use the dynamic seat, but I use it just for the hell of it. :)

People who call this model 'ugly' are ugly themselves and probably don't understand eastetics anyway. This model looks far better than the 95-2008 design with the round headlights. Except the interior in terms of luxury and techs used to be better actually. But still; mercedes e-class is by far the most luxurious sedan in it's class!!
You mean aesthetics. Aesthetics are subjective, and if a person doesn't have an immediate emotional response to the design it has failed. I did like the previous design better and think that this one looks like a slightly better Honda Accord.

yuck. this is such an old peoples car. my neighbour just bought one in silver and i now have the misfortune of looking at this bland looking vehicle every day. the wheelbase looks too short for the length of the car and considering this model is brand new launched in 2009 it still looks old, i think the lexus GS, which is an older car launched in 2005, looks sportier and actually stands out from the pack. just my opinion.

I don't like the looks. The previous model was far more aesthetically appealing. Mind you I have yet to see the car live. I've only seen photos and videos.
The LS is good but also overrated. People seem to think that having every conceivable option in a car makes it class leading. No. The S class is the perfect blend of comfort (even better than the LS according to virtually all sources) and sport and has always been the benchmark in this class. I'm not even a Mercedes fan but the S class has me falling to my knees and bowing down in respect.

People like to have an E Class Taxi in certain countries; because they are so unbelievably comfortable to ride in and they last so long. I personally prefer to ride in an E Class rather than it's harder riding competitors. I have been in many E Class Mercedes and I love them above all the opposition.
The design is attractive, but there really is a few other cars that share similar styling. I don't think it looks like a Toyota or whatever, but the difference isn't as great between the E class and the current Asian crop as it is between say something like the CTS and the Asian cars. I think MB is at it's best when it designs more square edged cars like the pre 2000 models. Those were pretty distinctive. Still this E is nice and I'm sure the execution is where the really difference will be.

It's interesting what you say. I thought I read once, that for E Class taxis in places like Germany they make a slightly more toughened interior. I am certain I read that some taxis are definitely set up as taxis. I admit that some of the very old e Class Taxis are very roomy inside. The latest E Class has only just appeared in my country. I saw the first the other day in Dublin. It was black which suited it.
People internationally love Mercedes e class taxis. They are extremely comfortable to ride in and they look extremely elegant. The new ones will last a long time. Mercedes use very good quality parts. In a recent test, the E class did better than most cars being taken apart and checked after 60,000 miles and 3 years. They admitted the parts were quality.
I wish our country had E class or if possible S class as Taxis. It's just so comfortable and different since I've been in one. The closest thing that we could have is a lexus taxi but we can't even afford to have Toyota Celsiors. All we get here are some cheap, boring, bland and uncomfortable Toyota Corollas and Vios, Honda Citys, Kias, hyundais etc. XP!!
In my country, most of the taxis are of course much cheaper cars. One gets an occasional E Class which is a real bonus. Superb quality and amazing ride quality. So far there are no nre shape E Class taxis here and indeed I don't know if they have sold any here yet because of the awful financial recession.

I read an interview with the designer, he deliberately didn't want large drastic changes like what happened with other companies. He did gradual changes with the exterior to modernize it.
The presenter does a very good job. This car seems to look best with very shiny black outside and beige interior. It also looks well with very shiny silver metalic and dark seats. I travelled in a Mercedes 180 D taxi in Dublin in the mid - late 1950s. I have always loved Mercedes Benz E Class.
I really like Mercedes and I love the E-class. Not too big. Not too small. Always handsome. I can't help but think the rear end looks rather anonymous and un-MB like. Looks more like an Infiniti Q45 from several years ago. The front looks too much like a Lexus with a MB grille. I think they did a better job with the styling on the new C-class. Looks a bit more like a Mercedes.
If you have the money, this E Class Mercedes Benz is an incredibly great car. Of course it is a prestige car, so it will always be something rather special. I have always loved any e Class I have ever gone in. Understated elegance. It is what I would like.
I actually think they have done a very good job with this new E Class. When they do group tests, it wins often because of true comfortable ride and quality.If you want a true racer, buy a car with hard suspension.
There are so many different options for the e class. I saw another video of one of the top E Classes and the interior is incredibly luxurious and so comfortable.Even the least expensive model is well built with quality parts and very comfortable.

yuck. this is such an old peoples car. my neighbour just bought one in silver and i now have the misfortune of looking at this bland looking vehicle every day. the wheelbase looks too short for the length of the car and considering this model is brand new launched in 2009 it still looks old, i think the lexus GS, which is an older car launched in 2005, looks sportier and actually stands out from the pack. just my opinion.

The LS is good but also overrated. People seem to think that having every conceivable option in a car makes it class leading. No. The S class is the perfect blend of comfort (even better than the LS according to virtually all sources) and sport and has always been the benchmark in this class. I'm not even a Mercedes fan but the S class has me falling to my knees and bowing down in respect.

why does the vw CC look like the CLS well thats because they copied their design in favor of customers.. why did Lexus copy mercedes bc every line of lexus goes along with mercedes' (ex. Mercedes S600>lexus ls600)

People like to have an E Class Taxi in certain countries; because they are so unbelievably comfortable to ride in and they last so long. I personally prefer to ride in an E Class rather than it's harder riding competitors. I have been in many E Class Mercedes and I love them above all the opposition.

The design is attractive, but there really is a few other cars that share similar styling. I don't think it looks like a Toyota or whatever, but the difference isn't as great between the E class and the current Asian crop as it is between say something like the CTS and the Asian cars. I think MB is at it's best when it designs more square edged cars like the pre 2000 models. Those were pretty distinctive. Still this E is nice and I'm sure the execution is where the really difference will be.

It's interesting what you say. I thought I read once, that for E Class taxis in places like Germany they make a slightly more toughened interior. I am certain I read that some taxis are definitely set up as taxis. I admit that some of the very old e Class Taxis are very roomy inside. The latest E Class has only just appeared in my country. I saw the first the other day in Dublin. It was black which suited it.

People internationally love Mercedes e class taxis. They are extremely comfortable to ride in and they look extremely elegant. The new ones will last a long time. Mercedes use very good quality parts. In a recent test, the E class did better than most cars being taken apart and checked after 60,000 miles and 3 years. They admitted the parts were quality.

I wish our country had E class or if possible S class as Taxis. It's just so comfortable and different since I've been in one. The closest thing that we could have is a lexus taxi but we can't even afford to have Toyota Celsiors. All we get here are some cheap, boring, bland and uncomfortable Toyota Corollas and Vios, Honda Citys, Kias, hyundais etc. XP!!

In my country, most of the taxis are of course much cheaper cars. One gets an occasional E Class which is a real bonus. Superb quality and amazing ride quality. So far there are no nre shape E Class taxis here and indeed I don't know if they have sold any here yet because of the awful financial recession.

Best car on the road. I think it's even better than the S-class. What does the S-class have that this car doesnt? (besides larger size and pricetag).
The sharply-sculpted body lines are spectacular, the LED taillights look amazing, the front LED fog lamps look like jewels, and the interior in cream/beige color is simply top-of-the-class! Great work, Mercedes. Two thumbs way up!!

I read an interview with the designer, he deliberately didn't want large drastic changes like what happened with other companies. He did gradual changes with the exterior to modernize it.

The presenter does a very good job. This car seems to look best with very shiny black outside and beige interior. It also looks well with very shiny silver metalic and dark seats. I travelled in a Mercedes 180 D taxi in Dublin in the mid - late 1950s. I have always loved Mercedes Benz E Class.

I really like Mercedes and I love the E-class. Not too big. Not too small. Always handsome. I can't help but think the rear end looks rather anonymous and un-MB like. Looks more like an Infiniti Q45 from several years ago. The front looks too much like a Lexus with a MB grille. I think they did a better job with the styling on the new C-class. Looks a bit more like a Mercedes.

If you have the money, this E Class Mercedes Benz is an incredibly great car. Of course it is a prestige car, so it will always be something rather special. I have always loved any e Class I have ever gone in. Understated elegance. It is what I would like.

I actually think they have done a very good job with this new E Class. When they do group tests, it wins often because of true comfortable ride and quality.If you want a true racer, buy a car with hard suspension.

There are so many different options for the e class. I saw another video of one of the top E Classes and the interior is incredibly luxurious and so comfortable.Even the least expensive model is well built with quality parts and very comfortable.

japanese r good, not as good as german, but really nice still.. i've driven a corolla and honda for quite long on really bad roads..
