the bullseye guns are fricking awesome along with the reapers which i just unlocked . RESISTANCE 2 took out the most creative feature from the original. NO weapons wheel, , limited guns to carry n grenades as well , does the bullseye reload half ammo unlike the original 70 ? i m not sure,no automatic pick-up weapons ( u have to holds square )that's hard in case we have limited ammos left n a bunch of hybrids coming at us.

Its either that you like one better than the other because of some small gameplay or story gimmick or that you're a fanboy and are guaranteed to like one game over the other. You can't just say "Resistance is better because it is." Theres no justification

He means that both pretty much represent the shooter genre for their respective consoles. Resistance is the big shooter for the PS3 as Gears Of War is the shooter for the 360. Which one is better is debatable of course.

The biggest problem i have with r2 is that it rips so much from halo, the plot is amazingly similar when you think about it, the enemies are basically mirrors of halo enemies (except for a few), the controls and weapons are haloesque except for some minor changes, etc. R2 does it better than halo except for Master Chief, who in my opinion is a better character than Hale.

ratchet n clank isnt an fps assuming youre talking about that? but insomniac did have an fps called disruptor, way back on the PSone. Anyway that game didn't really have what you'd call super awesome weapons since gameplay was based on bioshock plasmid-like psionics. but seriously, theres a 3 round burst weapon with a medium range scope that seems a lot like a battle rifle. the bullseye is incredibly plasma rifle-ish and the carbine plays like an assault rifle.

there are others of course, but the feeling i get from this game, like the fact that theres an alien menace that turns people into zombies through the spreading of an infection that leaves big organic blobs all over the place (kinda like the flood hmm?) is that they obviously werent going for original gameplay here. they focused on the shooting, thre boss fights, some sweet weapons, and said "go kick ass." so its polished, gigantic and pretty, and ps3 fanboys love it. a good game overall

not excatly. Gears of war did something completly differant, with the people who made it creating a brand new games engine. Gears of war reinvented the 1st person shooter genre so it's unlikely that it copied Resistance.
