  • That is a good natured dog... But I wouldn't do that myself. Heck, I have been bitten by my wife for bothering her while she was resting on the couch!

  • @ivotography: A wife's signs are usually harder to read than a dog's, though...

  • More like vicious baby with Bullmastiff.

  • @cmilla646 Erm...that dog has clearly grown up with children. You appear to neither know children or dogs if you feel that way. The mastiff doesn't have the energy to play (why is that not surprising...) but still allows the child to behave that way because he feels the child is a puppy, and allowed. Being part of the pack (child of the alpha) helps too. Mastiffs are also extremely durable and not bothered by much...Mine will only walk to me when another dog or child overwhelms him...or lay down

  • HEHEHE. That dog's like, ULTIMATE MEH, I do this shit every day.

  • What's 'vicious' about this???

  • @glenn212now

    That's the joke yo.

  • Gorgeous mastiff! It really depends on the owner, and you clearly care for Ben!

  • i dont think its the idea that mastiffs are vicious in the sense that it bites, i think its more in the sense that the dog is large and doesnt realize how big it actually is. its the same with saint bernards.

  • Animals are just like people if they are raised wrong or abused they can be aggressive. I have had several pit bulls that were big sweethearts!! If your old enough to remember the German shepherds, dobermans, pit bulls and rottweilers have all been accused of being aggressive. Yet no one every looks at the upbringing or the fact that the people that choose those breeds are aggressive and have small dicks which is compensated by a viscous dog. I have trained to many dogs and it is the people

  • @tucsonpersonified But then there's people who have mental illnesses, with no history of being abused, who can be violent. That's what a psychopath is.

Dogs can be the same way. Any animal can have a mental illness.

This isn't even taking into account that some dogs are naturally more violent than others and definitely more violent than human beings.

Defend dogs all you want, but don't be disingenuous.

  • Wrong heading.Vicious kid with poor bull mastif

  • me and my bullmastiff grew up together and when i was younger i used to fall a sleep with my head on his belly and ive never been threatened by him. infact he used to protect me from my neighbers aggressive great dane! he is now 14 and im 18 and i cant imagine my life without him

  • All animals are capable of different behaviors. Breeds have tendencies to have a higher chance of exhibiting a specific behavior but thats about it... also this is why people can train Labrador Retrievers (known to the the most gentle according to the public) to be attack dogs. Its often the smaller (cute and cuddly) dog breeds that have the most aggression problems...but no one cares as the damage they can deal is limited do too their size.

  • you have to train babys and dogs how to get along.

they can be best of friends, and i think every baby/kid needs a dog to love them :)

  • My homies little brothers were like 3-4 and they would be hitting his pit bull amd he would just lay there lol. But if he saw another dog or dare to hit their family he would beast up something vicious lol

  • They are a gentle breed by nature.. the Game Masters dog is what this breed was originally called... English Mastiff and Old English Bulldog were the two breeds that were used to generate the Bullmastiff.. they are a brilliantly courageous breed with one of the strongest guarding instincts in the dog world, attaching themselves to their family unit at an early age. This video is a perfect example of a large Bullmastiff allowing one of his flock to interact.

  • Ben is beautiful, looks just like my old friend Rufus, he was the best dog. Rest in peace Rufus xx

  • K so apparently scottishnationalist is the best dog trainer ever!!! EXCEPT for the fact to be a successful dog trainer u need to realize that no dog wants to be misbehaved or vicious or unstable. Geez watch The Dog Whisperer once n awhile. It's all a matter of whether u can handle the dog dipshit.

U HAVE TO KNOW MORE THAN THE DOG TO TEACH IT ANYTHING

  • @thehollow555666

I couldn't reply to scotchnationalist's - it was utter nonsense. You couldn't say it any better- no dog wants to be unstable or vicious, it's the owner that has done this, or a very bad trainer.

  • I've seen more vicious Goldens. Apparently some people think that Goldens don't need training, just those "vicious" breeds. All dogs need a masterful owner. It's when idiots (or people who have entrusted a dog trainer scammer) have an out of control "Pit" type of dog that bites, this is when the sensational journalist runs with the inaccurate details, never following up on the true facts or the fact that the dog was intact, chained, etc. OR that the dog is not a Pit bull but another breed.

  • @sharon07430 i'm soo glad you share the same opinion as me! mastiffs rotty's pitbulls and staafys are the best breeds to have around children! bad people make bad dogs i train them, i know.

  • @Reush4ever its in pitbull blood to kill other dogs dude. ive seen good people with bad pitbulls

  • pitbulls are actually very sweet if raised correctly. i have one and she loves everyone! she even tolerates our cat and the dumb neighbor cats playing and scratching her face

  • "pitbulls are actually very sweet if raised correctly. i have one and she loves everyone"

As a dog trainer I am dumbfounded at the moronic ignorance shown to certain breeds. The fact is that pitbulls are naturally aggressive fighting dog, and over 60% of human fatalities and attacks are comitted by pitbulls.

Pitbulls can turn at any time due to their genetics and instinct.

I recoil when I hear some idiot say 'you know my putbull wouldnt hurt a fly'

  • being a dog trainer doesnt mean youre an expert on all things canine. and if you'd done your homework you'd find that 90% of the pitbulls that attack people, just like any other dog, are raised to fight/ exhibit other hateful behavior. It has never been proven that there is a psychological difference between a pitbull and lets say a St. bernard, or any other "good natured" dog for that matter. I recoil when I hear someone on the internet spewing malice and bad advice and claiming to be an expert

  • Your a moron, differant breeds of dogs have inherently different personality characteristics.

To say that the inherent personality characteristics of a pitbull is similar to that of a golden retrever is utterly preposterous and ridiculous.

    Moron.

  • one of my friends actually had part of his face bitten off by a golden retriever. and this happened why? because the dog's owner was an asshole and when my friend went to pet the dog it lashed out and bit him. All dogs can be agressive, just as well as all dogs are capable of love. So who is really the moron here? goodbye.

  • "one of my friends actually had part of his face bitten off by a golden retriever"

Completely irrelevent to the fact that different dogs hve different inhereted characteristics, attributes and personality traits nd behavioural patterns. This isolated case does not chnge that fact.

"All dogs can be agressive, just as well as all dogs are capable of love."

Thats not what I am arguing.

  • i agree with aj66289

    your the moron.

  • @scottishnationalist funny that you say that because I have a friend who owns a Labrador Retriever who actually bit a child and it was pretty bad. The kid wanted to take the dogs ball and the dog lashed out on her...it wasn't a warning but a full on attack. Where were those peaceful and gentle genetics of the Lab then?

  • What a lovely dog, shame about the kid...I wouldn't allow my child to pull my dogs leg even though my dog wouldn't react it would annoy her all the same. The other dog was cute jumping off the sofa as soon as that brat came over to annoy it. I know he's a young child but should be taught not to bother the dog like that when he is trying to relax on the sofa but then anyone can bring a child into this world it doesn't mean they know how to raise them!

  • i don't have one but my friend at work has 2 and he said they really love kids they protect their 2 lil kids like they were their own puppies...they don't even like when they yell at them LMAO

  • Why are fools who know nothing about dogs talking about pitbulls? This isn't a pitbull, it's a Bullmastiff. No relation. Guard dogs are not fighting dogs. Pitbulls were bred to fight other dogs, Bullmastiffs were bred to protect humans. This dog will protect that baby and his family, he will never hurt them.

You will almost never hear of a purebred Bullmastiff attacking a child, they are extremely tolerant, gentle and loving with kids.

  • lol the dog was like...

get away from me.. im trying to watch my fav show

  • every dog has the potential to kill no one dog is worse than the other its how there rared and trained its just human ignorance that says one dog is worse than the other and is human stupidity to leave an animal alone with a child no matter how well its trained.and in my opinion in all the vicous dogs i have seen were all little fucking dogs

  • We also had a cat that jumped on my head and scratched the crap out of me...

Guess we better not let hamsters or cats around kids...

  • Saying that nobody should have a dog like this for a family pet is proof that you are ignorant, as well as anyone else that says that this kind of dog is a danger to the kid. You don't know this dog. You have just heard the horror stories of kids and people being hurt and killed by dogs. Get over your typical opinion of these breeds and try to realize that they are a great dog with great potential. And by the way, I had a hamster as a kid and it bit me on the finger and I bled all over...

  • tell all ur stories to the mother of elley laurance in loverpool, who was killed by a bullmastif age 5.nobady should ever put their child with any animal that can,and do,KILL.

  • Keep in mind that the biggest factor is how the dog is raised. In the story of Elley Lawrence, the dog was acting "jealous," which is a clear sign of the family not socializing the dog properly as it was growing up. The family should have taken the dog away from the child as soon as that behavior began to express itself, as well.

Oh- and that was a Pit Bull Terrier- not a Mastiff.

  • well then i guess nobody should own any pets then you stupid nit.

  • it was a pitt bull not a bull mastiff total different dogs, u have got your info wrong... so u shud think before u start insulting bull mastiffs as they r very tame dogs if they r brought up by good owners!!!

  • @anntoinetteb people kill too...are you going to isolate yourself from all humans as well?

  • That Bull Mastiff reminds me so much of my old one and also my old Dogue de Bordeaux ...two of the most gentle dogs I've ever known.

  • heyyy i live in tx but theres like only one breeder in the whole state and um its realy far away to get a mastiff hahaha :()

  • you can literally do anything to a bullmastiff and they will not care. they are the most amiable dogs on the planet. this dog probably watches out for the kid to make sure he does not get into trouble. That little dinky dog is probably more of a risk to the kid than the mastiff

  • Im getting one today, and Im going to teach it too eat the neighbors dog for a snack!! no seriously, they are the most tame animals ever, and can't wait to get him in a few HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!! What should I name it, I know! VICIOUS! LMAO

  • Is that a Japenese Chin on the left?

  • That would be a Papillion. I love how he gets off the couch right away when he saw the kid coming towards him

  • Bull Mastiffs are NOT vicous. You as the parents are retarded fro letting your kid tug on his leg. Also he did not bite him. How would you like it if a little annoying kid was tugging on your leg (and hurting it) and the parents just sat there and recorded it? Think about it... >: 0

  • U know very little about bull mastiffs i guess?

  • This vid is simple showing that these dogs are not mean! They are well mannered and great with kids. And if you think for a second that the mastiff was even remotely bothered your retarded.

Sharon07430 delete this ignorant persons post

  • Do. You. Understand. Sarcasm.

  • loooooove how chill that dog is. Just a big cuddly kissyface!!

  • the bullmastiff isnt even vicious i am 11 and i must be brainier than the muppet who put the video on here

  • it was sarcasm

  • @4jonah Well Sorry 0_o ......

  • I think people who are not familiar with the breed confuse them with Pitt Bulls. It can also depend on how the dog is raised too. You can find some gentle Pitt's. Most are not raised right and they get a bad rep. I have never heard of a Mastiff harming a child. They are very protective dogs.

  • I think it comes down to the nature/personailty of the dog not soo much the breed in some cases. 2 bullmastiffs family dogs mauled a girl and her sister and the girl died. (this is in my area). These dogs were in the family for their whole life since puppies. So it goes to show ANYTHING can happen. Not defending or critising .. just saying anything could happen. We love them like family but you have to still remember they are still animals. We dont know what they are thinking at times.

  • It's sarcasm you idiot. Bullies are the MOST gentle dogs. That dog would die before hurting that child and it would protect it with it's life. I'd let my bullmastiff babysit my kids before the likes of you.

  • typical stupid things that small children do ,what a gamble the stupid parents put their child at risk , and if something happens to the child they put the dog down , does your f@cking dog talk to you and tell you he,s not gonna bite little willys pecker off today

    ?

  • glenmann62

Please tell me what color the sky is in your world.

The chances of that Bull Mastiff harming that child do not exist. In fact if you knew Bull Mastiffs better you would know that the only person in danger, is the person who tries to harm that child.

  • those dogs aren't vicious!

  • the things not vicious!!!!!!
