She did NOT need applause. She needed those in attendance to be utterly silent and sit for a while in pure reflection. To be honest with themselves. Those people heard NOTHING she said. As soon as she finished speaking, her words were forgotten. This is evident from the fucking useless applause, which, to me, proves that most people are more content with maintaining the status quo than they are to break cultural constraints and do what they know is RIGHT.

#1 Start a business to create jobs & wealth in "needy" countries

#2 Distribute donations yourself, not via govt.
