DOTM is what you call a guilty pleasure of a film. the pacing was terrible and the script was probably dumbed down by Michael bay yet its enjoyably. characters don't go through character arks at all and there really isn't any emotion at all. but to enjoy DOTM you must ignore that stuff and pay attention to the fact that the robots, camera movements and music are great!
I also cant stand people who rip the actually movie. You are paying to see a movie about robots fighting each other. Dont expect Godfather type plot or dialogue. Use you head.

Ok, this sort of makes sense people. There reviewing the blu ray package NOT just the movie. The movie get like 8/10 but the blu ray package deserves a one. No special features or any extras at all? Ghey.
paramount has left us in a predicament, i have a bluray player and an hdtv but i dont have a 3d tv, so by me waiting for the bluray 3d just to get special features i would've made a dumb decision and waisted 30 bucks for something i dont have, but if i go out and buy the barebones version, not only would i feel stupid and cheated for not knowing this a head of time but im stuck with the barebones, I dont want to make the same mistake again like I did with Avatar

i own all the g1 episodes including the 80's movie and the plot was to stop the decepticons from winning the great war and taking over cybertron that's is basically what Bay did with a few changes of the characters IE making Bumblebee have radio voice not having starscream try to destroy megatron and not having soundwave talk in monotone. Also he changed it with the all spark and some stuff

@jarethmd i dont understand... the acting was great, the plot made sense (why would they spend billions od dollars just to go see the moon), and like everyone says it has stunning special effects! So why say its bad, idunno. Maybe i have a bad taste in movies but im sure that considering this one made over 1 billion that it was pretty darn good. I know its not like the 90s but face it were in 2011 we got to have some sort of change otherwise people would think its too much like the cartoons.

This was one of the worst fucking movies I've ever seen and all these fanboys are bitching because they gave it a 6........I'd give it like a 3, my IQ was lowered and I felt like having a stroke afterwards. Oh and @jarethmd you don't have to be 80 years old to realize most everything in this movie was complete shit, I even thought the first 2 were decent but this was just unforgivable.

The last battle was the worst of the 3, just sand exploding and military shooting, the third actually had robots fighting. The second one had the forest fight though which was the best part but the rest was boring

paramount has left us in a predicament, i have a bluray player and an hdtv but i dont have a 3d tv, so by me waiting for the bluray 3d just to get special features i would've made a dumb decision and waisted 30 bucks for something i dont have, but if i go out and buy the barebones version, not only would i feel stupid and cheated for not knowing this a head of time but im stuck with the barebones, I dont want to make the same mistake again like I did with Avatar

Remember people, this is a review of the DVD not of the film. So added features and presentation play a huge part in this review.
The film is for popcorn-purposes, there's no arguing that. Whether or not it is a good film is of personal opinion.
It's a Michael Bay film, and it's Transformers. That's all you need to know to decide whether or not it's your kind of film, and what you're in for if you watch it.
A 6/10 seems fair for a popcorn-film dvd with good presentation but no features.

i own all the g1 episodes including the 80's movie and the plot was to stop the decepticons from winning the great war and taking over cybertron that's is basically what Bay did with a few changes of the characters IE making Bumblebee have radio voice not having starscream try to destroy megatron and not having soundwave talk in monotone. Also he changed it with the all spark and some stuff
