The downfalls to the PS3 are, of course, a bit of a complicating online community thingy, and the rather whopping price (which has now been lowered A LOT. but so has the 360, so still. xP ), and the shortness of their own games.
But realistically, the 360 and PS3 are almost two COMPLETELY different systems, with their own upsides and downfalls. Whatever one you choose is up to you, and your own reasons.
XBox users! Let's be a little honest here. Halo and GoW aren't the only good things about the 360. (let alone that excuse is just as annoying as the bluray one!) The great thing about 360, is that it has a higher frame rate, a lot more games to choose from than PS3. But, again, some downfalls. The RROD. Having to pay for internet. (cont. once again)
I know most people on the PS3 throw out the bluRay and free internet excuses. But it's more than that. It has a very high graphics card (much better than 360), and a bit more reliability, when it comes to functioning properly. Not to mention it can play PS2 AND PS1 games. About Natal, I can do that with a PC and Free Software. Also PS3 is coming with more Projects (not only the Motion Controls) and more exclusives for 2009 and 2010 more than Xbox 360 can have.
uncharted is a decent game... But yes, i have an ps3 and a xbox, ps3 is more for the casual gamer... And xbox 360 is for the competitive gamer, because it get supported by MLG etc.

UFC hasn't been out that long and it is constantly growing. The younger generations like mine love UFC, the reason why boxing is still popular is because UFC isnt Worldwide and the older generations grew up on boxing and will stick with that. MMA fighting will overrun the boxing world very soon as the boxing fanboys grow older and fewer.

You say PS3 is better? Just your opinion, and everyone thinks their opinion is better. In my opinion, the PS3 isn't that great, the PS2 was fine and I still play it all the time. The Xbox360 is in my opinion the best, the online is much better than PSN. Mainly because playstation doesn't make you pay for online so they aren't going to have as many great features. And wii just sucks overall, one of the worst nintendo consoles. So each has its ups and downs (except for wii, it just sucks)

the ps3 has nothing coming out. it has that remote that's practically the same exact thing as the wii.
the 360 has project natal coming out, completely blowing away the ps3. the ps3 also doesn't seem to have "a game of it's own". the 360 has halo, which is more than enough to wreck the ps3.
