I thought he was. He's definately an Irish bred horse, he's owned by Sue Magnier, and was sold down the road from me in Tattersalls, but I'm finding it hard to check his breeding. Definately moslty TB but on i've seen ISH after his name on a few sites which would suggest he is Irish Sport Horse! But I'm open for correction as its not clear.
Yes he was bred in ireland at coolmore thoroughbred stud by the magniers to race then turned into a eventer for there sons but was to much for them so Andrew took over the ride
that course was very well done! I really like andrew hoy. It looked like his horse Moon Fleet was going to stumble. I can't remember what time though. It was an excellent time. Did he win it?
i find it easier to find courses in a snaffle bridle, it always gave my horse more freedom and i didnt feel like i was pulling on his mouth all the time. maybe i just dont like double bridles.
He actually didn't win...I went there to watch in 2006. He won Rolex and Badminton, but not Burghley...it was insane to watch. He was in first going into stadium...the crowd was absolutely silent. But he had 2 rails and ended up 3rd.
He is such a good rider!!

Changing your horse bit to a more harsh one is just going to cause more problems. You dont have to ride wiht your hands over courses like that.

we r very close to hes owners.
he went over seas after sydney and came back and was at the property in victoria for a spell.
and got an infection, and he couldnt be saved and had to be put down at werribee equine hospital.
