How long does the internal battery last? And do you need the internal battery to make a call or can you call directly off solar- even with a defective battery in the Solio?

@WILLYDOGUSA Sorry I I haven't replied sooner. The solio is working well but I've noticed son cracks around the hinge where the panels pivot.
