I always wanted him to narrate Dr Seuss books. That would be fantastic.... "And there I was, caught in the snide. And in that dreadful place..... those spooky, empty pants and I were standing face-to-face". Whenever I read those books I can't help but imgine Mr. Harvey's voice.
Paul Harvey reminds of my childhood, riding in the car with my grandpa, I always looked forward to "The rest of the story" the best four minutes of the day.
The rest of the story, was part of our work day, every day. We would stop take a break and listen, also Paul Harvey news. A true icon to the broadcast industry. One thing is for sure there will never be another. He is in the category of Walter Cronkite, another great man of news broadcasting. Both are missed by many, May god be with both of them!!
If you have ever listened to the radio and was born before 1990, the odds are good that you have heard of Paul Harvey. Radio in small town Wyoming during the 80s and 90s always featured Paul's "The Rest of the Story" at noon. He will certainly be missed.
i'm living in anothr country now...my mind kept running on Paul Harvey...my mother loved hime and i grew up on him as a child....I loved his 'finishing the story' and not just taking the typical approach...great story teller...I did not know we lost him and didn't know it was this year....Thank you Paul for all those years..all those stories.... I hope they/we give him a most appreciative send off!
THE GREATEST commentator of all time! I listened to him with rapt attention since I was 2. Rest in peace Mr. Harvey. I guess that's...the rest of the story.
Mr Harvey, I will forever miss you... You have made my lfe that much brighter with your commentaries each day during the week always reminding me of the times I used to listen to you way back when I was a boy at my grandparents house...
Absolutely the most mesmerizing story teller in broadcasting...he is irreplaceable...and will be missed by everyone who ever listened to him. Rest in peace. By far, Harvey, you were the best:-)
What an amazing speaking voice he had. I grew up listening to his stories and still love to hear them today. RIP Paul Harvey. You are already missed. Thank you for making my life a little brighter.
Paul, You are the true sound of American radio.Your dulcet tones soothed our ears every day for so many years. Your clever delivery and unique stories always kept our interest. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to the Harvey family. 22 million listeners a week ,need i say more. We will miss you Mr.Harvey..God Bless you and yours. You are now with our Lord and you now know the rest of the story....Joel M.
I only knew this guys voice...but I was always drawn to it....I grew up hearing him on the radio in Philadelphia. "And thats..the rest of the story." God Bless. R.I.P.
