  • Are there any application differences between Racy and Puppy?

I hope Puppy will become a bit more like the Guy Dog puplet, one app per task. For example: Puppy has two burning apps, two graphics editors, two disc burning apps, two text editors etc. etc. Maybe without the duplicates we can keep the iso at 100 mb.

Maybe with a nice Puppy App Center, updates and a beautiful theme, Puppy can go from hackers toy to a good OS.

  • @glennzoo not really

  • firewall? in linux? is needed? ...

  • @soosrooland yup

  • @sneekylinux but i heard that its not necessary and i dont think there was any kind of problem with security until now... also the router has firewall...

  • @soosrooland ya cant be too carefull man

  • @sneekylinux which firewall would you recommend for Ubuntu? (and Arch linux)

  • @soosrooland anyone that you are comfortable with mate

  • @sneekylinux so you mean, any firewall is good? mkay, thanks, cheers!

  • Very nice version of puppy IMO. If you want to stay Ubuntu free on your newer hardware this is the way to go.....The biggest issue I have found with these latest versions of Wary either Racy or plain Wary is the blurry wallpaper...lol.

Good job Sneeky, I enjoy your videos...

  • Thanks Sneaky. This Ubuntu Unity thing still has me distro hopping. This looks like a winner.

  • @Aspie12345 only if it right for you mate
