I have owned both of these cars and the Z hands down is a much better car. It rides more like a race car drives more like a race car and has gobs more power and torque. The Honda is better on an autocross track but it seems so cheap though. That fat z ass doesn't doesnt come around without sliding it. There just ain't enough room in those courses for a powersliding car.

I've owned both cars before but it'd say the Z would win if the driver is better, I seen Z's consistantly run 13.5-14.5 in GA, I usually see s2000's run 14.2-15.5's. Especially with the New HR the 350z Has the s2000 would not keep up. People keep saying turbo the s2000, but if you think about it both these cars are about the same price off the lot so they're in the same class, turboing the s2000 would be unfair just because s2000 owners think it's unfair, they're in the same class

all nice cars. I still went with s2k despite the slightly more power the z has (depends on model). Why? because the s2000 is a true sports car, when you drive it, it feels as such. When you drive a 350z the power is nice but it feels like a maxima sedan minus 2 seats (which is quite accurate based on the chassis alone.) Still both great cars that can put smiles on the owners faces.

Power has NOTHING to do with handling you ricer. I guess an ferrari Enzo can't handle because it has 650hp. The reason why they handle so well is because the RX8 weighs 3050lbs, and the S2000 weighs 2850lbs. It's weight not power. Now to save weight most use small engines, which subesequently does lower power output but power doesn't have any effect on handling.

Power does have to do with cornering. If you have too much, the car will spin the tires, and spinning the tires will definitely affect how the car is turning. Also with AWD cars, the amount of power being put out into the road will determine how much understeer it gets.

@xtelevisionset not necessarily, maybe your need for better handling increases but handling itself will not change. Given that the S2k pulls .95G if you add 100hp it'll still pull .95G. If it does 60-0 in 115ft. regardless of extra HP it'll still do the same numbers, the only thing that changes is the need for handling, maybe at 400hp in a S2k .95G is not adequate, maybe youll need some fatter tires, but the numbers and handling characteristics does not change.
