You can't fly the thing forward!... Only side to side. And the worst part about it, the "strafe" stick is the same one as the "look up and down"... And the other one turns it... ... ... Absolute rubbish the way it is in the beta. Buttt, I'm guessing that's why it says "not available in beta", cause it's not finished for the game yet. They probably just forgot to disable it. Sure it'll be less worthless at launch.

@DigitalSupremacy yes but it just means that you just get two of them, you pressing reload does nothing.

@DigitalSupremacy You can kill a person with a MAV, it's kinda difficult though. You have to be about the same level as them, and run straight through them. If you try to drop on top of them, the MAV makes a funny little noise, pushing them aside, alerting them of you, and not killing them. When you kill them, the game gives it the term of roadkill.

@DigitalSupremacy the ammo counter is an indication of weather you have one in use. Like the EOD bot or the spawn beacon when you drop it down or deploy it it shows that it is being used via the ammo counter being zero. So if you die and the EOD bot isnt destroyed you can reconnect to it from the spawn if your ammo counter is zero. I wonder if the MAV will crash if you die.

Recons job isnt to kill people, its reconnaissance, and you can be near the top if you spot enough people and drop your mobile spawnpoints. besides, unless its team death match, you shouldnt be concerned with kills, and if you are, i pray you're never on my team. lol

@Qjemuse id rather you end up last on the scoreboard and help the team, than get 1000 kills. anyway, everyone is missing the true value of this item. if not for your team, you can use it to see enemies while never leaving cover. on conquest this will be invaluable if you are sniping. being able to view the field without the risk of getting shot is a huge tactical advantage, for you and your team. in rush, cqc recon with spawn points is the preference, but in conquest, recon needs to do recon.

@jhenney21 Yea it is. They should look at the homefront controls (one of the only good things in that game). There are so many drones in Homefront, and they're all easy to control. I think it's controlling EOD bots is way harder than flying any sort of chopper.

its dark because its infra-red/FLIR imaging which is actually this dark, the one you see in BFBC2 is not realistic, it looks more like black and white and doesnt have the capability to clearly spot enemies which is what the FLIR does, its almost like thermal imaging/combined. Thermal is usually in greener display
