  • cool pot!!! ha ha

  • I ended up having a lot of liquid but was on no rush so just simmered it down for an extra hour and man oh man. Amazing! Don't tell my mom but these short ribs are #1.

  • thats a bad ass pepper grinder!

  • lovely come back again!!! i think we outta grill those beef chops over some hot coals, that smoky flavor would enhance the outcome! cheers!

  • @blinkofaneye2soon - good idea, cooking should be about making a recipe your own by altering and changing it to fit your tastes. However, I think that the smoky flavor might just cover some of the more delicate flavors of hte root beer and anise.... but like I said... if it makes you happy go for it! Best - Scott

  • @ronito666 - well that is certainly nice to hear. I love Poland... I spent my 18th birthday in Warsaw... it was beautiful.

  • Brown is yummy - grey is gross ! Mushrooms too....need to be 'brown' not boiled & pale. Great recipe - to die for Scooter ! Dont envy you a northwest winter with dreary days. I'll take snow and sun any day.

  • @mukwah1111 - thanks. I've lived in all climates and much prefer the Pacific Northwest. :)

  • I just moved from Vancouver, Wa less than 2 weeks ago to Phoenix but didnt find your videos till just last week. Iv been going crazy cause all I want to do is cook cold weather comfort food but its 80 degrees out here! Do you have any good spring recipes? Iv been craving fresh fruit and Veggies but thats not my typical type of cooking so I know what I want and I dont know how to make that into a meal...any ideas?

  • Thanks Scott !!

My wife is going to love this :-9

  • Sweet Lord... I love you Scott! These dishes are amazing. Going to try this one out this weekend. Thanks for continuing to give the community a great cooking show. I think I can speak for us all when I say we really appreciate it.

  • If you wanted to finish this in the oven... at what temp would you do it?

  • @chyrd - good question. Sear the beef off and caramelize the vegetables on the stove , then cover and cook in a 275 degree oven for approximately 3-4 hours.

  • @ScooterSMcGee thanks for the info... Love your videos... very informative, and you are fun to watch. Ever send any of these to the cooking channel or the food network?

  • Where did you get that peppermill?

  • @chyrd - it is a Peugot peppermill. I believe I got mine at Williams-Sonoma.

  • @chyrd - by the way, it's nice because you can grind your pepper and then measure it if you need to.

  • @ScooterSMcGee That's exactly why I asked about the peppermill!! Thank you.

  • @chyrd i saw it at william sanoma.

  • I have never wished that I lived in Oregon more than I do right now!! That looks so good Scott...btw, that pot is beautiful! Thanks for sharing and have a great night.

  • @mllee2008 - thanks! By the way, the pot is by Staub... I got mine at Der Kutchen Laden in Fredericksburg, Texas.
