  • ERROR: This kernel requires an x86-64 CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot – please use a kernel appropriate for your CPU.

    Solution: Go to your BIOS setup when you restart your computer ( F10 Usually sends you to it upon reboot) | What you need to do is enable your "Virtualization Technology". You may have to shuffle around a bit to find it but this takes care of the kernel error.
