That's right, he's a completely authentic person and it moves through all his music in a magical way.
I only recently came across him inadvertently through the TED talks I get on facebook and I was blown away. I've been devouring everything he's made since then and it's all wonderful. I'm just desperate to see him live now.
great video, one of my favorite versions of this song. i really like the shyness and awkwardness at the end, when he looks into the camera for a split second is forced to look away. the interview was awesome too
This guy is incredible... I love how he makes little changes to all his songs every time he sings them. So many artists just rehash their own recordings - like a successful formula that never changes. Andrew Bird re-composes his songs every performance...
I love this version of the song - it's so pared down and beautiful. It's kind of weird filming something like this in an artist's dressing room as you almost feel like an intruder. But Andrew was really lovely and made the experience very special . He sang the song with real feeling... I love the authenticity of what he does.
We also have a video interview with Andrew that we'll be posting shortly. Watch out for my walk in the park with Mr Bird!
I don't think I've ever cried so hard than when I realized that this man saved my life with his music.

How ironic is it that his name is Andrew Bird and he whistles?
LoyalToAnneRice 1 year ago 2
@LoyalToAnneRice not irony, coincidence

@LoyalToAnneRice
Not at all! There is truly no irony in that.

@LoyalToAnneRice
To clarify, it would be ironic if his name was "Andrew Nolips." That's what irony is.

He looks so tired. Poor thing. He's been working his ass off this year with concerts. At least he enjoys touring.
Beautiful version of the song. Feels very raw. I love this man.
