put your 'raw 8bit unsigned' files in the Data\user folder and rename then to match the midi key you want, eg user1_036.raw then load either program 09/User1/DMC (so the files are then reinterpreteted as DMC) or wav.
You can also use .dmc files but then you would need to hack the SFZ files in there. in short feasible , but not 'automatic" right now.
If i buy it at version 1.0, will the updates be free? Or will I have to pay to update if you add sounds, or make things more stable? Hate to buy it, then you add megadrive chip and It's cost more money. Or should I wait for a few updates then buy? Looks great BTW! ;) very interested
If you buy now you will get free updates until 2.0, and we dont expect this before more than a year.
We currently plan on adding a few mores chips in the 1.x release, but not the YM2612 (megadrive/genesis) since its an FM chip with completely different sound generation.
That's a shame because it does some phat basslines. If you do conciser doing it for a different synth then it would be great to be able to import the presets from the roms. There's an emulator called Gens and you are able to export the presets (y12.file) and use them in a standalone synth program called TFM music maker. Problem is that it has massive latency and there is no VST support. It would be great if you did this for the future synth and include other FM emulations. I would buy it.
You guys gotta give me the song at 0:44 ! Good job there, it sounds really cool. Now the mp3 link please kthxbye. sys53858. Oh and i'm gonna buy that vsti :P

FLstudio is fine. I use it. It's actually well suited for making chiptune style tracks.

I am not sure about the meaning of your question but i'll answer with my best.
Of course chipsounds will constently have updates. We are already working on updates that we plan to release very soon.
This prodduct is there to last and new features and sounds will be added over time.
If this does not answer your concerns, please have a look at the chipsounds official forum at plogue(dot)com .
