  • haha i just saw this on Ip Man

  • wingchun punch very fast but some of the ppl they think fast but without power, because they dunno when we punch we also move forward with whole body force + fast punch. so it become fast and powerful.

  • all i know is..i don't want to be hit by anyone lol..it hurts

  • my personal experience is that you don t need more then one or two chain punches with a step forward or better a front kick , your opponent will fly backwards , i was pretty surprised when i used it the first time in a real fight on a street , now my weapon of choice are front kicks chain punches and if this is not enough chain ellbows(i call them chain elbows it is not a WT name for it,after a couple of years doing WT something happens inside of you and then you find your very own way to fight)

  • knowledge of part is better than ignorance of the whole. why try to explain or defend

wing chun techniques to those who have no knowledge. It is not in harmony with wing chun as it is a waist of energy. Continue to study good luck

  • 2:02 You NEVER do that. If you cross your arms in a real life situation, all someone has to do is grab hold and push and you can't fight back with your hands AT ALL. It is a very bad habit to cross your arms or your legs when training.

  • You could actually ignore all of the "philosophy" and stupid looking forms and stances and just learn boxing! Unless philosophy and stupid looking forms and stances is your thing. Then, just have at it!

  • It's way to easy to get away of this sleazy punches

  • @enesog It's way too easy to see you of sleazy grammar.

  • @enesog uhuh....o_o

  • It will knock people out, break jaws and noses. I have done all of the above in actual street fights and on guys that have come to my school challenging my ability. It is not hard to do if you are accurate and know how to deliver a proper Wing Chun punch. Practice practice practice and practice more. Sifu DL

  • For the uneducated... Especially theCPAPP, The centerline punch has a purpose, ist purpose is that its infiltrates a gap that people overlook. sure we throw jabs, but they arent exactly centerline (on the opponent) and can be easily blocked. Plus, the centerline punch mimics a battering ram.

  • this is partly why Bruce Lee was solid

  • to put things in perspective, a great boxer will generate 1000lbs behind his punch. a great wing chun centerline punch will generate about 400lbs. Yes it's a lot less, but considering they can hit you 7 or 8 times a second, that 400lbs is gonna hurt.

  • @heartdyedpurple well the wing chun guy would get knocked out by just one left or right hook when he steps in to punch a boxer. Wing chun is not for fighting its more of an excercise. Its just simply not practical. If you look up the history of Wing Chun, it was created by a woman who knows nothing about fighting.

  • A single jing choy or chung choy is acutally pretty powerful, because it employs the whole body behind the fist. In order to achieve this, the fighter must put his elbow in line and shove the punch in with his hips. Also, it's just as important to strenghten your forearm, triceps, chest, abdominal and leg muscles, as they will all help you develop explosive power at your elbows. leaping pushups and diving pushups are examples of exercises that help you achieve this.

  • Wing chun is awesome been doin it 4 4years and would newver do anything else were all dif and choose our paths which unfold who we are thats why were dif and thats what makes us human.Martial arts is a great way to train the body and mind but also helps us protect the ppl we love take care

  • To be brutally honest... I couldn't care LESS about how great a technique looks. I am not remotely concerned if it is the goofiest looking thing going, or if it's something that looks the coolest thing in the known (& parts of the unknown) universe.

To me - there is but one question...

does it work effectively on a resisting opponent.

If yes, great - someone dig up a vid and show it please... I really look forward to seeing that and learning something new.

If no - that is an EPIC FAIL

  • @scopeophile yeah lordtains right if the user is using the chain punch by countering it can hit your jaw or your temple and maybe straight to a throw i do kenpo but i use wing chun stuff too

  • @scopeophile i agree. It looks goofy as fuck and doesn't even remotely look like it ccould generate enough power. It also limits yr range of attack. I cant see this ever working unless u walk up to someone who is unsuspecting and suckerpunch them with 6 or 7 successive punches at close range. I cant imagine such punches being employed in a fight where the opponent is ready like boxing or mma.

  • @scopeophile

hey, man. it's not about fighting, it's about having fun and training your body, developing senses, reflex, endurance and what not.

so when a brawl comes, whatever you do becomes more effective.

meaning: a practicing wing chun can throw better hooks than a lazy boxer.

and since brawls never last more than a minute, goofy moves won't happen, so anyhting goes, and training martial arts only increase the chance of not getting too badly hurt.

    perfecting tech is personal achievement.

  • this will come in handy if i ever fight a guy without arms

  • I don't think this Punch can knock me out

  • That's the reason he punchs more that one

  • o o mutha fucker trust me you feel them bitches

  • @iwanttofight69 You may not be knocked out by a Wing Chun straight punch but one or two of these punches in quick sucession will put the opponent on the floor very quickly. Why in self defence is there such a need for the knock out?

  • it is not meant to be one-punch-knock-out. Learn some more about wing chun before blasting out things like that. Things that can knock you out are elbows or side of a palm to your neck or fist/half fist/palm side to your throat. So as you see, it is not meant to simply knock you out by concussion, but to disable you for quite some time.

Ofcourse I can't stress it enough: the less people think about Wing Chun fighters, the easier you make it for us on the streets. :)

    Take care, and train well.

  • Actually, a good Wing Chun punch will easily break your nose and knock you out in the process.

  • @lordtains takes roughly 7lbs of direct pressure to break a nose...breaking a nose does not mean your punch is powerful, but yes having CORRECT form on your punch will easily draw forth a powerful punch.

  • @nabapoisu VERY WELL SAID. I hate people who t hink they know alot and kept bullshiting things like they can knock this dude out with 2 punches and stuffs.

  • @nabapoisu well said.

  • @nabapoisu While it is not necessarily meant to be a one punch knockout, if you actually practice the chain punch CORRECTLY (which sadly 90% of wing chun practicioners today do NOT), then it really isn't that hard to get a knockout in 1 or 2 punches. Alot of people punch but don't use the "hammer" or they will have circular movements rather than straight, so yes alot of "chain punches" are PISS weak, because they aren't training right.

  • @nabapoisu You can knock people with WC punching you just have to train for it of course some punches lead up to other strikes that will knock you out just like in boxing a jab generally sets up other punches but it can be used as a knock out punch.Have faith in your WC training

  • I dont think this punch could knock anybody out.

  • it's not supposed to knock you out, but if you are a little smart you can use wing chun to defend, and then just kick/punch harder to knock out, if that's your objective...

  • @iwanttofight69 It actcually could in rapid sucsession.. it wont blank youout but you might stay on the gruond for a long time.. centerline punches hurt ALOT.

  • A combination of barrages can defiantly knock you out.

  • yea it can...

  • hehe, that was 3 - inch punch, and it was a lil sloppy with drawback :)

  • fantastic video!

  • There is no power in your chain punch...Your power goes down ! and not straight...also your elbows have to be closer otherwise you cant use your hole Body energy !

  • Nice narrated video! I like it!

  • fuck me this geaky lookin dude don't look tough but that 1 inch punch just shows how much power this scrawnny white boys got......

THATS 1 WHITE BOY I WOULD NOT FUCK WITH

  • this is not a good vid the guy that punches is fucking lame . The fist are in front of you and you DON'T get back your fist to your elbow the fist is like backing and hitting around the wrist so you won't lose any space that is already yours. get this video off youtube it is fucking lame.

  • Good Movie, Academias de wing chun en venezuela? tienen dojos en venezuela?

  • ha ha this is such a joke. Anyone with any brains knows you have to put your hips and body weight into a punch. All hes doing is massaging the punching bag. LOSER

  • wow classic wing chun with modern equipment

  • You note the bag has to be square on to hit it !

Curved punches could have the correct angle on a bag not square on .

  • NICE!!!!!

  • Hey buddy, your elbow is off the center line.

  • good... but he doesn't seem to be loose enough nor does it seem that he always keeps his elbows in when he punches...

  • good video except wing chung, the hands never go to the chest like that with teh elbows down, that weakens the bridge and destroys the punch. The wrist should also be more strait and tilted up.

  • 5 *****!

  • thanks for posting

  • I HATE Wing Chun/Tsun punches.

Its all arm power (despite what they tell you) the shots aginst the 'Heavybag' were just laughable.

Thank God i gave it up.

  • good video

  • great movie!

  • Excellent video
