Our heart gose out to you and yours, This is the worest nightmare for any bird owner. We do recall training but have not been able to work up the courage to free flight yet...I hope you find this little guy...
thanks for letting me know. i wish it had been her. (fyi - people are helping us, so the reward's bigger yet...in case you do hear of anyone who found her).
i hope the guy who found yours tried to locate the owner.
many people will give a reward big enough to buy a similar bird. even if not, these animals are so important to their families.
lost pets are often the love of a little child, who is now heartbroken. even for some of us big people, their unconditional love makes them so dear.
I am sorry for your loss. I hope it becomes of good news. I wish I could help but I live in Alberta, Canada. I hope Chomper doesn't show up here cause he would die (too cold.
Bonjour, et merci beaucoup. Thank you for your "warm" thoughts. :)
Please don't forget that you are helping by just telling others about Chomper -- no matter where you are. You see, we all have ties to other areas. Someone might know that a family member got a bird, and then if they see or hear about this, realize it's the same bird.
I am hoping Chomper is safe and warm no matter what. Not knowing either way allows for hope, but slowly drains the spirit. Positive thoughts help that part.
How long has she been gone? I wish I could help but I live in N.H. but I will Pray every day for her safe returne!!!!!!!! Keep the faith my daughter had that happen to her and she saw someone with her bird, she got it back!!!!!!!! So you see don't lose hope!!!!
Sadly, it was in January. If Chomper is alive, she's most likely with a human.
The problem is, as you have seen, humans would not necessarily spend a lot of time trying to find us, and we understand that. That is why we need people to spread the word -- it could get to the right person.
Not losing hope yet...but we could really use one of those little happy-ending miracles. Your support is very welcome!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. I saw the article about Chomper on BirdChannel. I really hope you find out what happened to her. You have a beautiful flock.
Yes, Bobo's story should have been a happier one. BirdChannel is a wonderful site. They are a great resource for anyone who has birds or who is thinking about adopting birds.
actually, anyone can help - by just spreading the word. If you are on chats, discussion boards, blogs, or anywhere people from another state may gather, you can either send them here, or give them the details in case someone is viewing from Chicago. It's a big city here - every mention increases Chomper's chances of being found if she is still alive.
Thank you -- everyone one of you -- who have taken the time to view her video and care about that precious creature.
I wish i could help also Im getting my jjenday wensday Skittles I pray for Chompers safe return! Awsome vid!

I moved from Puerto Rico to Canada. I don't speak French, but no problem about spreading the word.
