Well it's fast, and clean, for sure, and Jason has some beautiful compositions, but he doesn't speak to me like Yngwie, and he screws up quite a bit.

Keep in mind Yngwie was also playing at this level of technique and even better phrasing-wise at the same age, hell he wrote the majority of this song in like 1978 as I recall...

Yngwie innovated this style of playing and clearly here you can see that Becker was a fan and influenced by Malmsteen. Moreover, Yngwie was only 19 when Rising Force released and 17-18 during the periods he toured with Steeler and Alcatrazz. As far as technique, tone and overall versatility with the ability to play blues there just is no comparison. Albeit, Becker was better at arpeggios but playing arpeggios is just one facet of one's overall technique. Malmsteen by far is the better artist.

Ok guys heres how it is. Jason is better than malmsteen (in my opinion) because this. Malmsteen can play lightning fast, dont get me wrong . However, hes such a music theory nerd that his stuff sounds the same and hes very predictable. Where as jason knows music theory but his stuff doesnt sound the same and has feeling in it. and thats what makes a musician, feeling. Tip about guitar playing is, to learn music theory, and than shove it to the side. If you rely souly on theory, you sound boring
