oblivion- how to make a 1 hit kill weapon

One hit, my eye. "Weakness to" stuff doesn't take effect until after the first strike, and anyway that'll only make for 18 each Fire, Frost n' Shock damage when it does. If this kills anything, it'll be the Drain Health that did it.

Also, why does every weapon have to have Soul Trap? Just use the spell when you think the monster's gonna buy it, and save some charge on the weapon. It doesn't take the friggin' Archmage to Soul Trap something yourself.

@wwetna247eddymad easy all you do is get any weapon u want then goto a altar of enchantments take the soul gem scroll down to the bottem then pick the attributes or what ever. How ever this only works on weapons like if u wanted boots of light and walking on water you would need 2 sets of wearable items. at least i think.

2. Absorbing health will decrease their current health and will add the drained health to your own.

Overall; Absorbing health > Draining health (not magicka-based)

Shame the weakness is pointless on a 1-hit-kill weapon, b/c the weakness doesn't apply to damage in the same strike, and will only work for subsequent strikes. You got the drain health part right though, and soul trap as well (just not for 10 seconds)

First my brother got on my comp and played and used a really old saave file and autosaved over it. Yay....anyway to undo that?

And for some reason the other save file closest to where i was, my weapons kill anything in one or two hits. Which i dont get is there any code or anything to undo that weird glitch?

@torrentz333 No, you cant undo the autosave. Check your difficulty in the options and put in to the middle to solve the damage "glitch".

go find a creature and cast a spell with a soul trap effect on the creature, then kill the creature and you will now have a filled soul gem

it may not be grand, or it may not even fill your gem, different creatures have different sized souls and need different soul gems

humans can only be captured with black soul gems

Thanks. I'm going to try this without soul trap (I rather use a spell if I need it) for my amber mace, and in high difficulty level I set drain health for 3sec and weaknesses for 3sec, so second hit is quite powerful. Sorry my English.

Just to clear a few things up. One, it will only instakill on the lower difficulty settings. Two, Azura's Star is wonderful for this as you don't have to constantly buy new gems. Three, he is at Frostcrag Spire, which is an XBOX360 exclusive. Lastly, I'd like to share one that i made for bows. My makeup is: Perfect Madness Longbow/Hatred's Soul Arrows. The enchants are as follows: 19 Fire damage in 15 Ft/100 Weakness to fire in 15 Ft/100 light. Even on the hardest setting it kills quickly.

Just a followup. The bow that i made does NOT instakill on any difficulty above normal. It does, however, hit multiple NPCs at once. Think of it as an AoE Hatred's Soul. As a warning be VERY careful when going through the final few missions in the main quest. I killed Jauffre and Baurus during the Bruma defense, my little mythic dawn helper in Paradise (twice XD), and slaughtered Martin multiple times in the climax. On the bright side anything that kills is sent flying (possibly onto buildings)!

the effects are based on the spells you have. So if you want to put Silence on a weapon, you have to have a Sience spell. Get where i'm going?

One fun thing to do in oblivion is to make a character intended to forever stay level 1 by choosing the 7 main skills as ones you will never again use. This keeps you level one forever. The good thing about that is that all your enemies stats are based on your level so the higher you are the stronger they are. The down side is there are 7 skills you cant use and your attributes never increase. But it is fun to slaughter entire towns at level 1 in an all out assault.
