Nice nice! :) In my tests I've noticed, that it seems more important to have a good high res, instead of very high domain resolution. Most of the time I use 60+4 (or 5) :D
I don't understand why a professional companies don't use a Blender. I, know it isn't very well as game engine. But, for commercials it' perfect. And freeware.
Sry for the double post, but a quick question, I finally got the smoke system working, but it looks nothing at all like this (put in the exact resolutions you said). All of the smoke particles (or whatever) look like little cubes. Maybe I had the emitter move too fast, but I dunno.
What did you do for this effect? Also, what did you use for the emitter?
how do you make it puff at the beginning? when i set up smoke and press play it goes fine, but the whenit reaches the end it just restarts and acts like it was full on when it started instead of puffing. got a workaround for this?
Physics tab, smoke menu. It has a dropbox called "Smoke Cache", there you find some more options. Normally "Bake all dynamics" should work but i'm not so sure, because i'm not that experienced.

@kerog6 You need to bake the smoke in order to make it normally previewable. This will also allow you to render it properly. ;)

What causes the flash of light at the beginning of each burst? Was it intentional or does the pressure affect brightness?
Bleenderhead 2 years ago
@Bleenderhead it's the particles rendered on purpose to show the setup.
