  • @SnapShotSali who's that?

  • I listen to metal, like korn and cannibal corpse. Rock like Bon Jovi and Muse. Pop like M2M. Even boybands like Westlife.

But god dammit, THIS SHIT IS GOOD.

  • god i love 20's/bioshock music...

I really wish i grew up in that time.. I really do...

Life was a lot more simple back then..

  • Uhh...someone needed to make a comment not about Bioshock. Here's one.

  • @thishatandyou Here's one, you're a fag.

  • @HLGJacka Right, that's you obviously the better person. Sorry.

  • Anette Hanshaw, plus a bit of Dr. Steel on the side... life is perfect.

  • Again i found this song with the Bioshock 2 commerical. but by itself it's a really catchy toon. BTW i never said i hated 20-40s music.

  • Someday I'll be able to stop listening to this record.

  • Real music. Blessing my ears, thank Annette.

  • I am only need to say this is a catchy song and is from Bioshock. It reminds me of my dad the times we play video games together.

  • ya i searched this song because of bioshock and bioshock makes this music sense i meen it just wont be bioshock with out old music like this uno

  • YA I LOVE BIOSHOCK 1 & 2 AND THATS WERE I FOUND THIS ITS JUST A AWSOME AND FREAKY ASS SONG BUT I STILL LIKE IT FOR SOME REASON

  • @bobby141000 Freaky music? Uhm.. WTF man?

  • @bobby141000 it's only freaky to you because you find a game scary, pussy

  • Hey, don't be sad: you're society too, and you'all don't just love the new stuff. Society's ok. Hell, we're even doing a good job. Don't fall for despair -- there's lots of other new sheiks, sure, but daddy's not gone yet!

  • No wonder: the highest rated comment refrences Bioshock. Makes sense. :P

  • @mackroid55567 um no i think ur the one that is stupid you dum ass this is classic shit right here RESPECT IT!!!!!

  • @bobby141000 I respect this music ass face lol the problem that I have with your comment is that you wrote about fallout 3 which this was clearly not in. To even say that is just pure stupidity. So "WOULD YOU KINDLY" go get a brain.

  • Im 15 and i love these old tunes XD yeah, Bioshock got me into this, but hey! at least i am exposed to some good music!

Henry Hall scares the livin crap out of me though.

  • @projectstreet ahhh ha ha u tell him Project lol the above the influence commercials are bull lets all just chill and be cool

  • Mr Bubbles Mr Bubbles Are you there??

  • @AvaterPrinceZuko Same here! God for some reason, the classics like this is way better then the recent rap crap. -offers a highfive-

  • In This Video: Pretentious teenagers that play Bioshock that like this song pretending they don't like/know what bioshock while trolling people who like this song because of Bioshock.

    You're fooling no one

  • I'm 18 and now, thanks to Bioshock, I really love and enjoy the music of the 30's and 40's so much

  • Heard this on the Sita Sings The Blues movie. Check out, "Who's That Knocking At My Door". That's all.

  • This is probably my favorite song from Bioshock, go Delta! I can't wait for Bioshock Infinite to come out, too bad it dosn't really have anything to do with Rapture and what not. I would also like to state that I am a savior, I can't rip a 7'' slug out of a 6 year-old girl's stomach. Candyjunkie 101, would you kindly go get stepped on by a Big Daddy? Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock, Bioshock!

  • Kill mr.bubbles.

  • God I love these older tunes. Bought the whole BioShock 2 album before I started playing the game, and I fell in love with it. And, for the people out there talking about their age out on here, age doesn't matter when it comes to music. No, I'm not elder, but still. Music is timeless! :)

  • Bioshock 2 led me here.

  • its funny how each generation digs the music thats most suited to how they're getting wasted / back in the 30's it was booze

  • I'm glad that bioshock introduced me to this era of music, the world weariness just isn't heard in music these days. I bet that the purists get a little pissed off at all the bioshock spam though...

  • I know I'm not the only one who got introduced to this song by Bioshock, but I'm proud to say I'm happy that a game lead me to love the an era and music like this. I'm a girl and19 so I'm a "youngster" XD But her voice..oh my gosh, it's so soothing when a light is near you but at the same time its eerie and sad. I was taken away when I first heard it. I'm glad a game today showed me the beauty of the 1920's. I love its fashion, music, and cars. I can't get enough of it. I want to be in it. :3

  • @Aki65

I have to say, I'm a 17 year old, and I so completely agree with what you just said it's scary, it is as if I literally read something I had written. Bioshock introduced me to that whole era, and even though I love all sorts of music I know have a very strong interest (obsession?) with the music from the early 20th century, along with the whole culture, especially art deco architecture. The game also introduced me to Ayn Rand, who is actually my favourite author of all time!

  • @AlexB1001 i read na ayn rand book for school, i fell in love witht The Fountainhead. im planning on reading more of her works

  • @TheMFreak actualy it was used one more time other than that. on the first level when you turn all the power on with electrobolt in the luxury resort, it plays there too. its realy quit but you can hear it.

  • @TheMFreak soundtrack

  • I hate people who automatically associate this with Bioshock 2.

  • @marcelolucy You must hate a lot of people then.

  • @marcelolucy well, you hate millions and thousands of people including myself...... thats just not right...

  • @marcelolucy well thats were it remined people of or made the music more populare from bioshock

  • Man I Love This Game And The Fact That Bioshock 2 Introduced To Me To A New Genre. My Fav Song..

  • bioshock 2 milked this song to death

  • 1:20 to 1:33 is the the bestttttt

  • Bioshock may have sent you, but Sita sent me.

  • @GiggleSnortBangDead

Sita sent me also, great animation.

  • Such a charming song... I love Annette Hanshaw because of this song. I miss singers like her....

  • for crew cuts look for earth angel and sh-boom songs crew cuts is the group name

  • if you like old music like this i highly recommend the crew cuts sh-bomm great music

  • ah mam like bonusleve; siad i started to listen to old music because of fallout 3 and bioshock this music is great i would rather listen to this that the gay music today if you agree thumbs up i hope this music lives for ever

  • @kevin5602 Same here. Society is only into the new crap they make. They only make music these days to make money. Half the shit I hear on the radio is so pointless, it makes me weep for humanity.

  • @MsRrainey tell me bout it brother thums up!!!!

  • @MsRrainey you and me bolth brother LONG LIVE BIOSHOCK!!

  • @kevin5602

Daddy would you please come home and I don't want to set the world on fire =)

I also loved the music from the saboteur , like nina simone -i'm feeling good

  • Bioshock 2, and everything by Valve.

  • Fallout 3 and Bioshock are the reasons i started listening to this old music and i love it!

  • I love this song, but when i really think about it..it scares the shit outta me.. just thinking about scary things.

  • Best.. song.. ever! I only wish I could live in the time when they played this kind of music... more perferably in Rapture =D Well.. when Rapture was still put together.

  • Now that's what I mean...........gimme more of those minor chords and all those black keys............I don't think latter day song writers know what they're for.......

I guess spaces for the white ones. What in the world happened to tunes like these?

    Keep 'em comin. Hot damn.

  • @ticktock24 Only knew what honey,,,do tell!!!

  • love it.

  • GOD! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

  • I think 200 of those views are from me. I love this song so much X3 Theres no music like this anymore, nowaays its all justin beiber and miley cyrus (i hate both of them) I love old music like this its so beautiful!! And so is annette !

  • Red dead redemption, fallout 3 and bioshock all have amazing soundtracks and take me back to a time where music was made by actually singing, not autotuned electronic shit. It's sad, really...

  • I wanna be in Rapture and in 1959 when things looked like the architecture inside of Rapture! So cool! luv this song!

  • This song would be great for a bioshock 3 trailer...

just mad explosions and gun fire and notice how the line goes "daddy can you please come home" so there can be a big daddy just fighting off mad splicers and big sisters...

ahhhh gotta love bioshock and it's old music..

i love fallout 3 's soundtrack too along with metro 2033 and red dead redemption..

  • @projectstreet

That's sort of what they did for the Bioshock 2 launch trailer! Check it out! It's an incredible blend of classic Bioshock action with a wonderful, timeless song!

  • I'm absolutely in love with this voice.. Thank you, "Sita Sings the Blues"!!

  • So I try to build Rapture after playing the first bioshock, I hire a contractor, and just yesterday he said it was complete, Took 4 years. So I go down in a suba suit and I notice the insides are filled with water....

Who woulda thought you needed window panes to keep the water out?

  • @AlwaysOriginalFilms i wish someone would make a real rapture </3

  • @hunnikay Yeah, id be there in like two minutes. I would just hope that the same thing wouldent happen to the real rapture, as what happened in the game.

  • @hunnikay dude if Rapture was real we'll all be screwed. : /

  • @Aki65 dude i agree, but still id be tryin to get ma ass there asap lol

  • Sati sings the Blues brought me here

  • I ordered this album of her music on amazon. Plus Bioshock is just damn fun!!!

  • I just love this song

  • Would you kindly. Powerful phrase... Familiar phrase..?

  • Wasn't this song in Fallout 3 aswell as Bioshock 2?

  • @bck00062 Just Bioshock 2 :) May be in New Vegas... I HOPE <3

  • Big Daddy! <3

  • its a wonderful tune.

  • Sita Sings the Blues introduced me to Annette Hanshaw.

  • @lxawesley

    OMG! You saw that too!

  • love the trompet solo

  • i love old music to and bioshocks always got the best soundtrack

  • God I loved that women.

  • Beyond the sea was so much jollier than this which clashed with the tone of the first one. This one however fits perfectly with the tone and even the lyrics are perfect for it. I'm not sure which one I prefer.

  • I don't think that we should be "ashamed" that BioShock 2 made us listen to the song. It just shows that this kind of music has some longevity to it and will last for years. While it may not be getting millions of views, twenty-eight thousand is still pretty good. :)

  • @TaylorPaige09

I'm not ashamed the least that bioshock intruduced these old tunes to myself. The music is one of the reasons Bioshock will be my favourite game of all time.

  • @AaronOD Exactly. I was familiar with and liked some of the older tunes but I think that BioShock really reinforced how much I really like it. That, combined with the amazing graphics and lovely art deco style, I would agree, BioShock is definitely a favorite of all time. Most certainly in my top 5 games.

  • a beautiful, though, if put in the right scene and situation, eerie and creepy-as-Hell song. I LOVE IT! And yeah, BioShock brought me here. lol

  • 100% Bioshock!!.

  • i dont care what anyone says. 40's music kicks ass.

  • @theTROOPER1945 agreed accept this is from 1929... oh well your right though!!! and so does this song!!!

  • she and bobby darin are the best

  • I heard this in the youtube movie "Sita Sings the Blues" though I didn't care, until Bioshock 2 played this.

  • who didn't find this from bioshock really good song i wonder what the next game song will be

  • when i first heared this song on the bioshock 2 commercial (im so sorry for refering to the game... forgive me) but i fell in love with it when i heard it

  • @candyjunkie101 BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock, BioShock.

    Idiot.

  • @enzocippitelli it's bio shock 2 oh excited one

  • Admittedly, I found this song through Bioshock. Never-the-less, I will not talk about it.

The rhythm is rather nice, though. Stuff I can tap my foot to.

  • bioshock is a super game but it isnt as good without the awesome music

  • Love this song. She's one of the greats like Bobby Darin :D

  • I like how a 1929 hit song on youtube has been turned onto a place to argue over the game Bioshock.

  • yeah its funny isn't it

  • first of all popcorn thats stupid how would these modern weapons get down there and y r we trying to put logic into a game like bioshock i mean come on you shoot fire out of ur fingers beacause of ADAM from a sea slug so yeah ur theory dismissed

  • i dont know why but heres an idea 4 one but i dont have a character figured out you know in bioshok when u get the evil ending u stay in rapture im thinking that they should one where ur main obgective is to kill jack im thinking this because they need to show hsi face more and his voice more i know it sounds a bit stupid but i think its a pretty good idea

  • that is actually a really good idea

  • @pOpCoRn0531 Thats the most stupid thing that I've ever heard. Bioshock should not be set in a future generation in the third. It will probably be set sometime after the second or even a prequel. The splicers would not last past 2000. With them killing each other off plus food and water would be gone by then so they would die. Most likely a prequel as people have been demanding one since the first one came out.

  • @Mackroid666

Pls elevate your IQ even a second please. read the plot AGAIN please. WOULD YOU KINDLY? lol. And I if it's a prequel, I'm sure the story is going to be bland. I mean what story would the game revolve around? We already know that Rapture is Ryan's Utopia-gone-wrong. WOULD YOU KINDLY tell what you got in your mind as a prequel?

Dead Space extraction worked well as a prequel as it explained the whole saga before Isaac Clarke set foot on Ishimura. Not gonna work on BioShock.

  • how did dead space get dragged into this dead space 1 worked well number 2 its going to be like the fat kid that your mum invites round out of pity and then he leaves half eaten toffy apples all around your treehouse lol

  • @pOpCoRn0531 i think a prequal would do very well but instead of their just being one main character to play theres alot of other stories. i realy wish it showed how sander cohen became a houdini splicer and how the city was tore apart. i also wish it actualy showed them making big daddies and johnny topside becoming delta.

  • like ODST where you get to play multiple characters?

  • @tonyharrison4 ya but better than that more like where instead of switching off levels and being a different character every level you have more than one story mode.

  • Honestly I like your ideas, but taking the presence of adam out of the story takes a lot of symbolism out as well... and bringing it so close to the present ruins the mystique of Rapture itself. After all, Bioshock isnt just my favorite game just because of the outstanding gameplay, but the storyline... if rapture was a real place i'd have already packed my bags and left!

  • BioShock 3 might or might not a prequel, we'll just have to wait for E3 2010

  • @R3DMAN451

Hmmm...but who's with me on this: If ever there's gonna be a Bioshock 3, it should be set on "alternative future generation". Meaning somebody accidentally came across Rapture in 2025 with its citizenry already evolved without ADAM and became horrendous monsters instead of mere splicers (Law of Evolution). But with Grandma Eleanor keeping the place in check, she guides the stranger to his survival using sophisticated military equipment known to us today.

  • Best game everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • Comment removed

  • I'm coming Elenaor !

  • Who wrote this song? Sam Coslow I believe

but VGMdb credits Noble Sissle and Eubie

Blake. I think that is an other song with the same name. Does anyone know for sure?

  • Arguably the best old song to be used in a game ever. If you know the story and mood of Bio 2 you'll know what I mean...

  • the intro song to persephone in bio 2 EPIC

  • I have an itch to Drill people every time I hear this song
