  • Huge LOL. Love it.

  • what brotherly love!

  • Right, but not in an Episcopalian way?

  • @quadcannon95 Just in case you don't get the joke, Episcopalians have gay pastors...

  • @Bongobutt123 I understood the joke :) I don't think that I meant to put a "?" haha

  • Mark Driscoll the freak job...but making a whole lot of money. Suckers.

  • @1tothemorning You have no idea how hard that man has worked in his life. If I remember correctly, the first 7 years of his ministry were completely unpaid. If he is "in it for the money," than he picked the wrong profession... Don't believe every slander you hear about a leader.

  • John Piper popped his collar! loooooool!!!

  • @RexLawson4eva YEA!!!!!!!!!!! #PiperFTW

  • Mark Driscoll is a doofus! lol

  • this is gana be a good night for you lol

  • ok i read the comments all the way down. got the answer. haha. thanks!

  • ok forgive me for being slow but what did he meant "not in an episcopalian way"? i want to laugh at the joke but i don't know what it means. hehe.

  • @cmdsaved Laugh, because the episcopalian establishment is homosexual and run by homosexuals.

  • "Not in an Episcopalian way." SCORE.

  • oh i smiled so hard my cheeks hurt!

    how adorable was that?

  • Hahaha John Piper's voice at 1:13 rocks. "Oh, cool! Desiring *Gawd*!"

  • Ahhh, I love them. Not in an Episcopalian way.

  • haha thats was great

  • Like Washer said, 'my sermons on God's love never make it to youtube.'

  • @Heismightytosaveyou

A good man of God was giving another good man of God a present. It is very sweet and uplifting, and here you are complaining about your bruised ego.

  • Paul Washer actually jokes a lot too! Just not in the videos posted of him on youtube. If you would download a sermon from him you would find that he actually preaches different from all the 3 min. sermon jam video clips here on youtube. Sometimes people come and visit paul washer' at his church where he preaches, to hear his fire and brimstone messages, and they get dissapointed, because he's mainly feeding the church, and not always beating it down.

  • hahaha :]

  • God Himself compared our "righteous" deeds to filthy menstrual rags in the Bible. Does that not belong in the church either?

  • Who says Christians are no fun? Great moment.

  • @norqvader Yea that made me smile

  • Mark Driscoll and John Piper together. Two different worlds colliding.

  • i actually like to picture it like this,..you have pastors like Paul Washer, who's pretty serious, very passionate and rarely jokes around (not that its bad, thats his style i love washers preaching) then there's Mark just as passionate and serious, but jokes and has fun... i kinda think Piper's inbetween the two

  • Why are you guys having a conversation in a comment thread? Use the IM feature eh?

  • That is a pretty sweet jacket.

  • whats the relation between mark driscoll & piper?

  • A good one. They are great friends and share the exact same theology.

Their church styles are obviously different but they are secondary issues that don't matter.

They are both awesome pastors clinging to the cross, and that's what makes them good.

I pray they both keep at it!

  • This literally made me laugh out loud. Driscoll and Piper have such a funny relationship.

  • But not episcopalian, by the way.... why did he say that. Are episcopalians gays?

  • Driscoll gives the Episcopalian Church hell for not viewing homosexuality as a sin even going so far as having a gay bishop. Piper is Baptist so he's not exactly a fan of gays either.

  • lol.. good stuff! Piper discarded the thrift store jacket REAL QUICK tho. LOL!

  • Yeah! Yeah!

  • gotta love Piper and his five dollar coat....

but I want the one that Driscoll gave him....

  • Owchh ! "but not in an episcopalian way"

  • john piper would make the sweetest granpa.

    :D

  • He does.

  • @YouMustTypeAUserName HAHAHAHAHAH :D

  • Why is that sad?

  • Nothing explicit. The latter was within the context of married love, so what could be wrong with that?

  • Here on You Tube people have the very odd habit to understand things just the opposite meaning that it actually has, and worst, to write it! What is wrong with jokes about married love?

  • My friend brought it to my attention that your comment was sarcastic, sorry. lol.

  • I disagree, as a single man that very much wants to be married and have lots of sex with my furture wife I find that sexual jokes (w/o taking things too far) among my guy friends both married and single is the most effective way to relieve the tention of sexual desire in our lives and hearts as well as bring us into closer community. If that's not the case for you that's cool don't make jokes but hold off on the generalization some of us use humor so we don't hurt.

  • Dude I was being sarcastic... I totally agree with you.

  • oh my bad...

  • Oh, you little perv. Cant you hear the word ORGASM?

  • Comment removed

  • timmcneely is a self-righteous Pharisee and his comment doesn't surprise me.

  • As soon as you show me one passage in the Bible that says Pastors are prohibited from preaching on sex in the context of marriage, and they're prohibited to teach what sexual acts are sinful for singles, then I'll agree with you.

Otherwise, you simply don't know the biblical model for a a pastor.

I guess Solomon the preacher in Ecclesiastes, was a potty mouth preacher in the Songs of Solomon as well...???

  • What part of "above reproach", Colossians 4:6: "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned" Or in Ephesians 5:4: "Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place." is hard to understand? "filthiness . . . foolish talk . . . crude joking." Those terms seem to describe Driscoll very well...

Solomon was graceful and tasteful in his treatment of sex. He was not crude and crass like Driscoll.

  • Dude, first of all, your first comment was 7 months ago, and no one agreed with you, what part of that didn't you understand?

Second of all, stop murdering the bible by taking verses out of context. If you think the apostle Paul is describing the 1 joke Mark made about "Episcopalian love" in those passages you posted, then you must have a little legalism written in your DNA.

  • I'm just curious...Why do you feel such a need to defend the sexual jokes that Driscoll makes?

  • I'm not defending his sexual jokes, I'm defending a brother on the front lines who preaches Christ crucified and is under attack from his own kind. And I especially have a problem with dissension amongst Reformed Christians (You Reformed?).

You do understand that you said a man should stop preaching Christ crucified and stop gathering elect in Washington state because he said he doesn't have Episcopalian love for Piper, right? That joke is grounds for letting millions in Washington go to hell?

  • Ahh...So you do agree that his jokes are sexual...

I don't have the authority to tell anyone to do anything...However Scripture does.

Check out Titus 2:7-8 "Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us."

    or

Ephesians 4:29: "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths."

  • Read my comments again, bro. I never once defended his jokes. The main thrust of my first comment was that you were being a hypocrite (Pharisee).

Then you said he should resign from the ministry, in which I responded by asking you to show me where the bible prohibits preachers from talking about sex in the context of marriage, because I was assuming you were basing your judgment on other media you've heard from Driscoll.

  • So...Somehow, by pointing out that Driscoll has a potty mouth, I end up being a Pharisee?

    Odd...

So your main thrust is calling people who point out sin Pharisees...

    Interesting

    Interesting.

  • timmcneely, world today hates Christians and church because of people like yourself.

Note, that most of them don't have problems with Christ or bible at the same time, but with judgmental, legalistic pharisee like yourself. Guys like you make our mission so much harder...

  • It's not my fault that people hate Christians. People hate Christians because of Christ. The problem is not me. It's the rebellious human heart that wants nothing to with the savior.

And what exactly is your mission? Is it to be like Driscol and look as much like the world as you can? Is to open up the sewer and let the garbage of the world into the church?

Or is it to separate yourself from the world, stand for the truth, and preach Christ and him crucified?

  • Look like Driscoll and the world???

See, that's exactly my point! For you and those of your kind that surrounded Jesus in His days, it's all about the LOOKS... not the SUBSTANCE... and I feel sorry about you being so blind to this...

Read the Gospel bro, it helps ;-]

  • Since when does filthy language and jokes have substance?

  • hahaha! You're really one of those... lol

    I have no words...

  • Wow...That's a well though out response. Good use of logic and reason.

Look...The bottom line is that the filth of the world does not belong in the church. The bride of Christ is called to be pure and holy...

  • =] ...... peace brother!

  • Peace

  • You're proud dude. Not unlike myself, but you are making it very obvious. I'm glad Jesus died for us.

  • BEST. VIDEO. EVER.

  • I cannot believe Driscoll said ''Its going to be a good night for you'' just after saying Noel is going to like it. EWW!

  • What's so disgusting about a married love?

  • Noel is Piper's wife. That should be expected.

  • I agree....It's kinda troublesome that Driscoll is so crass and crude.

  • He is not crass and crude. I don't know how much television you watch, but there are plenty of individuals on TV that fit that description, and I would not count Pastor Mark among them.

  • Whoa, I want one of those!

  • hehe so funny. AH i love Piper!

  • I'd love to see Piper preach in that thing. it looks really cool, but not his style. if he doesn't want it i'd gladly sport that thing!

  • Isn't there just something good about this video?

With all the "talk" about unity flying around that really boils down to meaninglessness there is a sort of unity happening on that stage that begins to look both real and beautiful.

  • "This is going to be a good night for you" - awesome line... Mark's hilarious!

  • Very cool!

  • Fantastic.

  • Good stuff! I heart Driscoll!

  • Awesome.. Love the brotherhood...

  • haha so cool!

  • that was soooo funny! Thanks DG!

  • haha cute!!

he got it at a skateboarding shop!!

    ahghahah

  • lol

  • Awesome! :D

  • Hilarious.
