@TerminalFrost Maybe because he is just a human and appearances are irrellevant to being consciously aware. That we are all residents to this pale blue dot we call Earth . That to see the ignorant comments about a host appearance shows how brainwash the human kind majority is, That when given information which is educational it does not matter who is the messenger. That we all share the same air and water here , that when looked from outer space there is no borders.
Since we went from the era of the men in pocket protectors to the politically correct ways of today, have we done anything nearly as incredible? Keep in mind, those pocket protector guys had nobody to learn and work from. Today we shoot a few probes up, test this and that and make bigger versions of what we've already had 50 years ago.
@chppxbx @14:30 They start talking to Franklin Chang-Diaz (inventor of the VASIMR), the interview is conducted in the Ad Astra facilities and you can see the large vacuum vessel behind them where they test the VASIMR designs.
I appreciate what NASA does, but I do not appreciate that my money is forcibly taken from me to support them. I would definitely consider donating to them if they were privately funded, but as long as NASA is a publicly funded organization, I am opposed to its existence.
@niiidar I'm not against NASA specifically; I'm against government organizations that use tax dollars to fund something that does not provide for the protection of the life, liberty, and property of the people. aMammoth does make a reasonable implication that NASA research could be considered to be part of the defense of our life and property, but I would rather see NASA be a non-profit organizations that solicits private funding than one that takes more of our excessive taxes.
@Phil22D NASA couldn't exist if it was a private organization. Its just impossible to make a profit doing their sorts of things, especially during the cold war when it was created. Its kind of like the defense department, there's not much profit fighting wars, until you loose everything. I like your philosophy, you've just taken it a little too far.
@Phil22D Erm.. Ok... What about if they were to start building housing on the moon? would you be ok with it bening a goverment finded orginisation then?
@ColinSWiseman I don't see how building housing falls under the protection of life, liberty, or property at all; so, no, that would not change my opinion.
@ColinSWiseman I hope you get that opportunity if you want to work for that. I would like to visit the moon myself sometime. I just don't want all of us to be forced to fund that opportunity.
@Phil22D I can see what you are saying (if you ingore my childish comments) but its almost a team effort. If everybody helps out with the fundings then when the technologie is ready and avaialble then all can benifit. With out the funding they would be no where near where they are now

What the... Is the male presenter "Poochie the Dog" from the Simpsons. I was expecting him to start singing:
The name's Poochie D.
And I rock the telly.
I'm half Joe Camel
and a third Fonzarelli.
I'm the kung-fu hippie.
From gangsta city.
I'm a rappin' surfer.
You the fool I pity.

Does NASA have some kindof media deal with a car company?
The camera keeps lingering on the cars. Is this howto get the attention of an urban bling audience or something?

Too bad the funding is so bad; but I suppose it can't be helped, with the world at large in such circumstances.
