hey i got a question, i am a freshmen in highschool and we are maxing out soon and after school i have been practiceing all my maxs and i do have creatine monohydrate from GNC which i know you say its not the best but i mean i rather be safe with the one that has been tested on teens, anyways im trying to get 265 on my bench max i have got 260 but i just cant get 265 and im woundering if i might take it before i go work out would i be able to get that last 5? just woundering thank you.
@JigsawPker Creatine doesn't work like that. Creatine works over time. You can't just take a scoop and instantly see results. if it's a simple 5 pounds you are adding, try warming up with a little less weight with less reps so you don't burn yourself out before you max. On the flip side, make sure you are warming up enough before you do your max.

@JigsawPker don't get me wrong, after a couple weeks of creatine I would expect you be able to get that extra 5 pounds. Try adding negative reps of 265 to your chest exercise next time. Only do a couple and have a spotter.

hey guys. i wanna try your idea of taking creatine after the workout but i have 1mr. I always eat a good lunch after my workout. Pineapple and water mellon are pretty much the best source of fast digesting carbs. There's also got to be something better than taking 8oz of juice for every scoop, on a load out that's like 32oz a day?!

@sawmassacre13 Not really. If you don't have a loading phase it'll take longer for your muscles to get saturated with creatine, but it's not necessary.
The reason taking it after is the best is because during a workout your muscles rip, protein goes in there and rebuilds them which makes them a little bit bigger and stronger, and with creatine it rebuilds them much faster and stronger, so you guys were right about taking it after.

@danjaykim Too load on the creatine take a serving at each meal, this is of course if you haven't taken any before. If you want yo maintain then either take one serving a meal or right after the workout. If you don't know how creatine actually works do some research ;) this will all make sense afterwards.

@huy20102010 any juice that is non acidic is better. supposedly the acid in most juices damages the creatine. mango or guava are no acidic so they should be good, if not just water. it will be absorbed still even there is no "insulin spike" like every 1 says is needed.

Once you start working out your body naturally uses the creatine that's already in your muscles. Once those are spent you lose the strength and endurance to push further.

Creatine is the most proven supplement out there. It's natural and there really aren't any side affects. If I take it in powder form, I do get a slight stomach ache for just a few minutes. But, never with capsule or tablet form. I don't really understand why.. but that's how it is for me.
Muscles are made up of about 80% water and 20% protein. That's why it's so important to drink a lot of water. Even if you aren't taking creatine you should still drink plenty of water.

Yes these guys are trying to sell a product. Creatine Mono has worked just fine for me. I take it after my workout with a medium carb meal, so all that creatine is ready for my workout tomorrow.

If you take creatine mono 1 hour before a workout the creatine will be infused in your blood stream. Your muscles already have creatine in them from your daily meat source.
Once you start working out your body naturally uses the creatine that's already in your muscles. Once those are spent you lose the strength and endurance to push further.
However, having taken creating an hour before it will replenish the used up creatine with the creatine in your blood stream.

I have never had a "squishy" affect from creatine. Never heard of a "squishy" affect either. If your muscles are "squishy" it would most likely mean your muscles are lacking. Lol.. personally, when I'm on creatine.. after about the first week of training my muscles are straight swole.

@kipmclaughlin Thats what I thought it was suppose to do haha.. but I'm 16 and I've only heard bad things about creatine from friends of mine, but I've been doing research and it seems fine, especially if these twins approve it. Now I don't know if I will use creatine now but in the next year or two I might.
Anyways, so the water intake to your muscles don't make them any softer? That's what I don't really understand... I'll take your word for it though, thanks for the reply

Creatine is the most proven supplement out there. It's natural and there really aren't any side affects. If I take it in powder form, I do get a slight stomach ache for just a few minutes. But, never with capsule or tablet form. I don't really understand why.. but that's how it is for me.
Muscles are made up of about 80% water and 20% protein. That's why it's so important to drink a lot of water. Even if you aren't taking creatine you should still drink plenty of water.

@kipmclaughlin Oh thanks so much for the info, I didn't know they're 80% water! I've had creatine monohydrate once and gave me a slight headache and I felt kind of "out of it" for the next hour... but felt fine after my workout.

heyy i have optimum creatine 2500 caps. in the supplement facts it says 2 capsules is the serving size. then under that it says creatine monohydrate 2.5 g. does that mean i need to take 4 capsules at once to equal 5g? please help! btw love ur vids!

Optimum Creatine 2500 Caps is 1.25mg of creatine per capsule. So, if you want 5g of creatine you need to take 4 capsules.

You say that you should take creatine post work out and in one video you talk about jacked that you take pre work out and it has creatine in it and you should not take creatine both post and pre work out and you say take a pre work out supplement before and take after creatine but most pre work out supplement have creatine in them.
