@TheGwynnSmith i searched and shit, and most of them said it is life threatening but you just gotta feed her like calcium food and such, oh and if the parrot had no male and it just laid an egg then the egg aint fertelized, meaning it wont hatch.
@alali401 Yes I know they aren't fertilized without a male, and that part of the issue. If their eggs don't produce a baby then their body dosen't tell them to stop laying. I have read this, don't know how much is true. But I have also heard not to pet them down their backs, or feed them food from your mouth because thats what their mates do and it can bring on the egg laying and such :/
@TheGwynnSmith hmm, well i heard that you can cover them and not put so much light, smthn like that so it'll confuse them and make them think that it aint the breeding season, its kinda funny, but not sure if its actually true as i have never tried it.
looooooool omg i want a mother,,,i dont know if my parrot was male or female,,,it holds my finger and spread its wings down and want to feed me,,what should i do
I can't even have exercise balloons or balls in the same room w/my Grey, otherwise she'll get on the bottom of her cage for days and act weird. My sister put some plastic balls in her cage and she actually thought they were her eggs and we had to take them out.
Are the eggs fertile? I had a cockatiel that laid infertile eggs, and I heard it's common for cockatiel hens to do that. Do other parrots usually lay eggs without mates?
Do you take the eggs away from her ?
