  • Why Nicole kidman? I honestly don't know what kind of woman Holmes would prefer...... Of all the women he came across in the series, I thought kitty was the most spirited and would be able to keep him on his toes. :)

  • Is your novel published? I'd like much to read it!

  • ih gosh...Blue XD but i like the video though :)

  • I really enjoyed your vid in its own premise. It's lovely, and you can feel how much emotion is in it, and I say that although I my heart belongs to the Holmes/Watson ship :)))

    Thanks for sharing it.

  • Shortly after the first short story "A Scandal in Bohemia" came out readers began accepting Holmes as real. It is nice to know that the magic still works, even if people "twist facts to fit theories, instead of twisting theories to fit facts".

  • in which episode does Holmes jump over the sofa? (at 1:13 ?)

  • @Dratini999 I THINK it's the red-headed league...

  • @ultraviolet128 thank you ^^

  • i think both of them are not gay !! they are just really close friends~

  • Holmes had few friends. In fact, Watson may have been the only one. The RDJ movie had it right, it was a bond like brothers. Neither man was gay. Watson enjoyed women (married twice, at least) and Holmes deliberately excluded women from his life because it would affect his work as a detective. In one story (The Devil's Foot) he even states "I have never loved." PLEASE GET OVER THE GAY THING!! Not everything in the world is sex, people.

  • @MsSherlockian Now, while I am also of the opinion that Holmes and Watson were just exceptionally close friends, I disagree with you on "the gay thing". Everyone has a right to their opinion and the matter is as open to interpretation as any other. Forgive me if I've misinterpreted, but why do you associate a gay relationship with sex? Just because someone ships Holmes/Watson doesn't mean they can think of nothing but the two ravishing one another.

  • I think the woman in the video is Irene Adler, right? But did Conan Doyle's stories really imply that she and Holmes were in love with each other? I fear not...

And the video is definitely not talking about the relationship btw Holmes and Watsons..so silly==

  • @kkei0001

No, that's Nicole Kidman (maybe in Cold Mountain) - not Irene Adler! Irene Adler was played in this tv series by Gayle Hunnicutt. In Doyle's story it's described that he admires her but does not love her.

  • I think everyone should keep an open mind to the whole Watson/Holmes relationship. Did Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mean for them to be lovers...well I'm sure he didn't but if they DID have feelings for each other there really isn't any proof to say they didn't or vice versa. Its the readers POV. They did live in the same room together for numerous years and Watson eventually moved back there. Plus Watson stated numerous times how Holmes had no interest in women. So he could be gay...who knows?

  • @l3efore4

watson got married... to a WOMAN

get a life, and read the books

  • @Starryvideos

I don't think that means anything. Maybe he's likes a certain personality type. Maybe he's bi. Maybe he loved them both. maybe Mary was a shield. We have no true way of knowing do we?

  • @Starryvideos yeah I know that...I've read the whole canon series. If you actually read my comment I said we should keep an open mind. You should get a life and maybe interpret peoples comments better. Did I say he WAS gay? No I said there is no way to know and the reader can interpret it as they want. AND to add to your little imput after Mary Marstan died, Watson was engaged to another woman but broke it off when Holmes returned. Just let people have their fun geesh.

  • Who is the blond-haired woman?

  • There is absolutely more between them then only friendship!

I wouldn't dare to call it just love or loving feelings but look it this way: It's such a special friendship, surely there is nobody in real life who has ever know such a thing. So nobody had had need to find a word for it, to give it a definition. It is something un-human.

  • Everyone knows that Holmes' secret mistress was Mrs. Hudson.

  • Ha ha ha, why didn't I think of that?

  • What was that kissing scene in 1:23???

    Who were those kissing????

  • Interesting choice of NIcole Kidman as The Woman. Poor Watson, he doesn't stand a chance! Fortunately she ran off with her rich lover and their relationship survived.

  • nice

  • can anybody tell me what´s the name of this song???

    tahnk you so much

  • the name of tha song is breath easy of blue

  • Thank you very much. :)

  • he was no interested in women but also in men

  • wonderful, i like it

  • Köszönom! (sorry, it's been quite a while since I've been to Hungary...) These scenes are very well put together, though they might be telling a story which is NOT according to canon. Well, I still like it, would love to hear more about that novel...

  • I hope that you make more Holmes/Watson videos

  • Sherlock Holmes is not guy. He has got one true love: the detective work. If he hasn't got a job he will be sad, depression, use cocaine. Watson was married twice, and Holmes like Irene Adler.

  • Holmes and Irene? Ew.

  • watson was married twice and holmes is NOT gay!

  • oh dream on! sherlock holmes is gay. . . anyone else notice this? i mean come on. and if he wasn't yes his only love is irene adler , very true.

  • bravo.. he is soo gay its unreal, my gaydar is pinning as we speak.

  • Any canon proof to support that theory?

  • It's my opinion ^_^ it's pretty obvious, just pay attention.

  • How is it so obvious?

  • what in the world prompted you to do this :D

Holmes would have fallen in love with only one lady Irene Adler

  • I remember it was clearly stated that he felt nothing "akin to love" for irene adler... maybe I am mistaking though :)

  • in "A scandal in bohemian" ACD made Watson says:"It was not that he felt any emotion akin to love for Irene Adler. All emotions, and that one particularly, were abhorrent to his cold, precise, but admirably balanced mind."Again, in"The Lion Mane"Holmes said:"I have never been interested in women",in The Devil Food Holmes again replied to Watson:"I have never loved a woman, Watson [...]".:)Probably,ACD wanted Holmes asexual. If he has a kind of emotional tie, it is Watson, even as a pure friend.

Előre is köszönöm. Vivát Sherlock!

  • Why not? Beautiful.

  • Szia! Szerintem ötletes és jólsikerült alkotás. :) Gratulálok hozzá!

  • At last the father began to give way before the

persistence of the love-sick girl who was, as Kraft expressed it, "fanaticized" by Versilov. But Katerina

Nikolaevna still resisted it with implacable hatred

  • ireneadler2 (3 weeks ago) Show Hide

ЖАЛКИЙ, ПРОКЛЯТЫЙ ЖИД ТЫ УМЕР НЕ ПОД ПАЛКОЙ

  • It is mad...

  • PsychTiyal, you think that Holmes and Watson are gay men ? lol

  • "It was worth a wound—it was worth many wounds—to know the depth of loyalty and love which lay behind that cold mask. The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation."

-The Adventure of the three Garridebs

Watson can hardly be bothered to write his second wife's name.

  • Ans Nicole Kidman hasn't play in this series ( sorry if I make error, but I am French and I don't speak very well english ^^)

  • French usually don't...

  • Holmes and Watson lived together for many years. After Watson married the first time, and his wife died, he went back to live with Holmes at Baker Street. Watson hardly ever mentions his wife, but he waxes poetically endlessly about Holmes. ^.~

  • But the series are about Holmes, not about Watson's wife, aren't they? ;>

  • That's because the stories are about Holmes's cases, and his wife was only in one. He had no reason to go around writing "oh, and by the way, I still desperately love my gorgeous wife".

  • I think Watson was bisexual and he loved them both (I'm serious), because on the one hand, it's clear that he loved his wife, but also he praised tremendously to Holmes and he was incredibly infinite patience with him.

    Sorry for my bad English.

  • So, are we to believe that every person who praises and is patient with their friend is in love with them?

  • No, but Watson is pretty extreme. There are also details in the manner in he refers to Holmes, and even, in the manner in which Holmes refers to Watson sometimes.

    Sorry for my bad English.

  • What details?

  • The fact of a male being friendly and an admirer of another male doesn't make a bisexual out of him. You're going to extremes, I think. Bisexuality is when someone feels sexually attracted (sexually aroused, wanting to have sex with) to people of both genders. This does not seem to be the case here.

  • Possible. It's true no one would be able to resist the charm of Sherlock Holmes if it has taken you one time, but I think Watson wouldn't be able to such a normal and calm behaviour. He would never be able to such a lie to his wife, I think. On the other side, a relation with the great Sherlock Holmes would be worth a risk :b

  • Holme is not married, but Watson yes.

  • got married twice actually i thiink

  • some think Watson was married 3 times

  • Comment removed

  • I agree! If anyone, it should be ME in this video! ;)

  • aww, come on, she's alright...although I must agree with you in essentials ;)

Not a particularly believable video imo.

  • I like to think he had a thing for Watson. :)

  • who's the blondie seen several times here? Irene Adler?

  • No, she's Holmes' wife: Elisabeth Ascott Holmes in my novel...

  • I'm sorry but can you arrange a prettier woman as his wife?

  • bwahahaha, harsh that

  • you wrote a novel? if youve put it on the net can you give me a link to it? i would be interested in reading it. im attempting to write my own novel (not that i would steal ideas from you, god forbid that idea)

    thanks

oh, bril vid by the way, straight to favourites

  • @szandics sherlock holmes's wife ? omg . he is an asexual character otherwise thats not Holmes in your novel. he would never marry anybody.

  • How unfortunate.

  • Is there a link to the novel you've written because these videos are well done?

    5 stars :)

  • what song did you use for this video? it's beautiful!!!

  • mixed brillantly, shame holmes never truley fell in love

  • Doesn't he, in the first of Doyle's short stories, visit his girlfriend? I've ordered the complete collection but I've yet to find out for myself.

  • i can't remember reading that he visited his girlfriend if u find out the book its in would u please tell?

  • sherlock holmes never once, in the books, nor the series, had a girlfriend. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle made that very clear when writing "A Scandal In Bohemia." He goes as far as to say "It was not that he felt any emotion akin to love for Irene Adler. All emotions, and that one particularly, were abhorrent to his cold, precise, but admirably balanced mind."

  • didn't think he did though i haven't read scandal in bohemia for a while. but in the shows (i believe devils foot) holmes(brett) goes 'i have never loved watson'

  • In "Charles Augustus Milverton" (the movie version is "The Master Blackmailer") he dates the blackmailer Milverton's maid so he can find out information. It was a dastardly thing to do, because he didn't love her at all.

  • i know i love that one....i was so shocked when i read that because that's nothing at all like anything he would do

  • The first of Doyle's short stories is "A Scandal in Bohemia" and he does nothing of the kind.

  • It's not a shame. I like him better that way. :)

  • Thank you very much. You´re very nice.

  • Szióka!

Marha jó ez a videód! Ügyi vagy!

  • Its an amazing video but someone know what is the name of the song thank you for your help.

  • The song is: Blue: Breath easy

  • I LOVE THIS!!! <3<3<3 I'm even more in love with Jeremy Brett(RIP) than I was before.

  • Awesome! Nice editing!

  • Amazing! Each bit of video was pieced flawlessly together. And a nice song to go with it.

  • That...was...beautiful.

  • Always great to see the peerless Jeremy Brett and David Burke. This is very well put together indeed.

  • So clever - you mixed the footage really well, it works brilliantly. I'm sure that Jeremy (rest his soul!) would have been amused at the idea of getting to kiss Nicole Kidman. Good job!

  • its a good video but i found a good song that also goes well with it, which matches all the action going on in the video . the song is "Sigillum Diaboli" by HIM

  • WTF!! Haha Sherlock Holmes will never fall in love, and especially not with Nicole Kidman.

  • I know it! I had written a novel and in my novel he falls in love and not with Nicole Kidman!!! Oh... please: read my comment to my video!!!!

  • Nahát, ide is föltetted? Most látom... Amikor levlitán megkaptam ezerszer lejátszottam, de most se tudtam megállni, hogy meg ne nézzem... Gratula, jó kis videó!
