Listen morons, he didn't have to start screaming. He could have immediately asked to be excused in a calm fashion. I don't think a simple reading lesson is as important as a possible nuclear attack. I don't know about the idiots justifying what he did as being a collected leader, but I know that I'd much rather have a hyper leader trying to defend us then a calm one letting us all die. As far as he (supposedly) knew, we could have been under nuclear attack where every SECOND counts!
Just because he didn't jump up and run away doesn't necessarily mean he had anything to do with it.. He was the president, he had to act in a manner that showed he had control and was able to remain calm and take information in. If he had just jumped up and flipped out he probably would have scared the children. Five minutes may seem like a long time but it's better to remain calm and keep your cool than to lose it and blow it all away.
A real Man would have calmy excused himself, reviewed the information and made quick but strategic decisions. This moron continued to sit... NO EXCUSES. No one is saying he should have gotten up and gone into histerics...Just Be A MAN and do the job given to him. What a Monkey... If I found out my son was in an accident, yet I was visiting a childrens hospital to read to them, I would have immediately, yet calmy excused myself. well the first time the secret serviceman probably just said "sir, the world trade center has been hit by a plane." Bush probably thought it was just an accident involving a small aircraft, but i think he should have left the school when he heard of the second plane. but i dont think he did a bad job. he was under extreme pressure at that moment. watch the speech he gives on the 14th and the footage of his opening pitch at the yankees game later that year. superb leadership in my opinion.

@Englishrover Yes.What security whispered into our former President's ear in this video was that the second tower had been hit by a plane.The second tower was struck within a very short time of the first.At this time the media was frantic as it was obvious that two planes in so short of a time was an attack,not merely an accident.He was told that tens of thousands of people were in 2 buildings that had been struck by an aircraft.He had already been informed of the first plane at this point.

First, who cares if the kids were startled, he was told "America is under attack". 2nd, he could have calmly got up, apologized to the kids and said, "sorry, have to take an important phone call, be right back". He could have got up, politely made his excuses and left and everyone would have understood once the full details became apparent. I think most people would suffer the disappointment of a few children knowing that they were reacting correctly to such a serious situation and dealing with it rather than sitting there, unsure of what to do which just reinforce how incompetent he came across as.

im not saying that he didn't have previous knowledge that 9/11 was going to happen and i know he isn't that smart. The only problem with this footage is that people expect him to panic in front of little school children after hearing " what had happened". But he cant just scream yell and panic in front of those kids and tell them they are under attack. In my opinion this video is irrelevant to prove it was an inside job.

Listen morons, he didn't have to start screaming. He could have immediately asked to be excused in a calm fashion. I don't think a simple reading lesson is as important as a possible nuclear attack. I don't know about the idiots justifying what he did as being a collected leader, but I know that I'd much rather have a hyper leader trying to defend us then a calm one letting us all die. As far as he (supposedly) knew, we could have been under nuclear attack where every SECOND counts!

Just because he didn't jump up and run away doesn't necessarily mean he had anything to do with it.. He was the president, he had to act in a manner that showed he had control and was able to remain calm and take information in. If he had just jumped up and flipped out he probably would have scared the children. Five minutes may seem like a long time but it's better to remain calm and keep your cool than to lose it and blow it all away.
