you people are commenting that the htc touch pro can't compete with the xperia... but i think ya'll wrong... touch flow and the hardware in these phones makes it more user friendly, better display, and built damn strong ... other than that... it has the same ole functions as the other touch screen windows mobile dat cud make calls, organize data, media players and internet browsing & downloads... htc phones are not to be looked down on... they are far better than most touch screen phones!

That's like me loading Office 2007 on computer A and Office 2002 on computer B and then doing a video demo of both. In the demo I go onto say, "Clearly computer A is better because it handles word documents better."

This is just ridicilus video. You can not compera same program on two devices couse it is the same! You can adjust settings of HTC to look like X1 or vica versa.

In the end only screen size metters for browsing, and more importantly, WIDE screen matters, X1 is hard winner in browsing...

If people rather have the on screenkeyboard bigger for use in general, then the flipout keyboard would be just useless if you ask me.

lol funny how the fanboys cry about the honesty... one of my best friends owns a cellphone store and his brother owns another.. he said the two htc touch screen phones for sprint are the best on the market right now.. and between both brothers, they carry ALL MAJOR CARRIERS... and i dont like how the xperia cuts off the webpage... and yes onscreen keyboard is a very nice feature so why would u not want to have it work as it should? the htc diamond is triband and the htc pro is quadband..

end of the day is, the xperia fucks all over the touch pro, larger screen, means better picture, having higher pixels, so wot aswell, when they were side by side, the xperia was more detailed and the pro was zoomed further out showing more. but the xperia is fucking way better bitches, suck my dick u cunts ;)

Bottom line: I think overall...Sony Ericsson Xperia is the choice. Who cares about an on screen keyboard being too small...flip xperia's one out. Why use the onscreen one?

It looks like the HTC touch Pro web browser is set to a smaller font size so that is the reason the screen is showing more of the web page. The xperia with its higher resolution will show more of the web page with the same font size setting.

While the out of the box experience is better on the Touch Pro, keep in mind:

-exactly the same browser, only different builds, thus exchangeable -> question of a ROM upgrade

-initial zoom settings can be adjusted, open the page "opera:config" and tinker around with adaptive zoom

-the lack of text reflow on the X1 is a major pain in the butt though...

Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly does text reflow mean?

Reflow means if youre in overview-mode the text uses the full width of the screen, once you zoom in, the text "moves together" and the line breaks change so that the text fits the new, zoomed in "smaller" view.

The X1 Opera doesnt do that, the text is aligned as if the view was in zoom mode, even when Opera is in overview mode.
