I want HTC to make a new Droid. Not just an Android device, but a true Droid. Like theier original droid; The Droid Eris.

It should have a slide out qwerty keyboard, 8mp rear cam w/ 1080p video recording, 3.5mp front cam, Dual Core processors 1.2ghz each, Android OS Honeycomb, HTC Sense UI (newest version) Gorilla Glass front screen, SuperAMLOED screen.

The name....HTC Droid Eris HD, or S. (To clear up the Eris name)

Or something alot cooler still incorportaing the Eris name.

@TNQTV that works out to be £45 how many minutes or data use do you get, right now i have the samsung g2 which was free on 2yrs contract at £25.00 a month, after 2 years i can end the contract and unlock it however i have already rooted it and can unlock it should i want to which i don't happy with tmobile... interesting to read how other countries work thanks for your response

@syn010110 Blur's actually decent on this, still use a different launcher though. And yes, locked bootloader sucks ass but, once we get root, oh well. I get your point though. All phones, period, need to be unlocked.

@GaaraOfTheDesert212 The Atrix got unlocked, why not this? Also, Moto should stop using PenTile LCDs. There's no point. This isn't AMOLED, there are no blue subpixels that burn out twice as fast as the red or green subpixels. The Atrix screen looks pretty awful compared to my phone's S-LCD.

@syn010110 I have no idea? I'm agreeing with you, phone's should all be unlocked. And I'm hearing people actually like the Atrix's screen unlike the DX2's. As well as I like the pentile screen on the D3. You can't notice the "oh-so noticable" pixels like you can with the Dx2. And to me the colors look more realistic. And since I'm outside a lot, this phone looks GREAT. It's completely clear. No need cover it for some "shade" to see it. Otherwise, I agree.

@GaaraOfTheDesert212 The Atrix's screen isn't the worst, no. :D I've seen much worse... the Desire HD's screen is pretty awful.

I've been kind of spoiled for good screens... first a Vibrant, and now a mytouch 4G with the "type 2" Sony S-LCD panel. My MT4G's screen looks very good... shame it's only 3.8".

@syn010110 Haha, I guess that could be true. And nice. I want to try out the MT compared to my Droid 3. I kind of feel like going in to the store just to check it out. Sucks that all 4G devices though besides verizon are basically 3.5G. LTE so far is the only "real" 4G out there. Other carriers use HSPA+ which is more like.. a beta. Not complete 4G. That's why AT&T is gonna slowly get LTE sooner or later as well to be a top contender when it comes to that.

My complaint with android is that it is inefficient in handling background services/processes well.

Apps keep on launching on its own and suck the resources out of my phone, slowing it down to a halt. Battery life suffers for this.

Android doesn't let users disable processes properly or prevent certain apps from starting up automatically defeating the purpose of app killers.

That's why Android feels bloated and requires dual core processors and large memory for smooth operation.

@jjzanice it means that you will have to stick with verizon and pay their bill every month for 2 years, if you want to cancel you have to pay $350 the first month then it will decrease $10 every month. for example: if you decide to cancel after 5 months, you have to pay $300

@jjzanice Its because the phone is much less expensive. For instance the Droid Bionic is something like 599 retail. But you can get it on a 2 year contract for 299. So yes, you pay your monthly bill. This is how they make the money back on the device and get you on a contract for 2 years.

@tiger7892 i have a htc thunderbolt with LTE and the battery life sucked, but i rooted the phone and removed all bloatware, installed a new higher capacity battery, and i even overclocked it to 1.4ghz for higher performance and the battery life was a LOT better

I am glad that this phone dosent have 4g for 1. It would be thick because of the 4g chipset thats why all lte phones r quite thick 2. 4g is a battery hog, and should not be paired with dual core if u ask me.
