A few years ago they didn't know how to treat it so they were all dying but now they use vitamin A i think and body oils and probably alot of other things. The skin is hard, and the baby can develop painful cracks which can lead to infects, and even death. It's no laughing matter, it's not "religious bullshit", it is imperfection. We are **ALL** imperfect.

Harlequin ichthyosis, means the child may 'completely fine' on the inside, organ wise, however the 'alien appearance' is because the child grows around the same amount of skin in 1 day as a normal human grows in 2 weeks.
