I would much rather see the Hal Jordan Green Lantern. He's the Earth's first offical Green Lantern (Allen Scott wasn't offically part of the Corps) so that's where they should start. I never made sense to me that they didn't have Hal Jordon on the show except in some breif alternet timeline bit.

You said "Fight with" instead of "Fights against". Kinda confusing. The reason he's still fighting lex luthor is because Luthor's too smart (Most of the time) to leave too much solid evidence of his... activities, and Superman tries to keep within the law, as he's supposed to be a symbol of Justice, so he can't just kill luthor because it's against his nature, and putting him in jail wouldn't be any use because he'd just get out on "Technicalities"
