@vmgqie CO2 makes up 390 ppm (0.039%) of the atmosphere, how can such a small amount be important? Saying that CO2 is "only a trace gas" is like saying that arsenic is "only" a trace water contaminant. Small amounts of very active substances can cause large effects. Huber and Knutti (2011) published a paper in Nature Geoscience, Anthropogenic and natural warming inferred from changes in Earth’s energy balance, explaining the effect of anthropogenic CO2, please read it.

@checkyoursources Definitely not in agreement with NOAA, as they were .2deg C higher then everyone else after the year 2000. And that is no coincidence (satellitegate explains that) The findings are premature. They haven't been adjusted yet for known bias's, and they are similar with NASA and HadleyCRU. (which means that those temps are raw data) After they are adjusted there should be a difference. By the way, they only took readings from 2% of the data.

The fact that the earth's climate is changeable -without- CO2 does not save us. It does the opposite, in showing us that the system is responsive to external forcing. Gore's work essentially agreed with the IPCC's report of the time and 97% of publishing climate scientists agree with the IPCC. Gore made a few minor errors but the overall science of AGW has been confirmed and extended.

@camcheck i've got a hypothesis... we know that sunlight penetrates deep into ocean, somewhere up to 100 metres, but GHG IR is completely absorbed in a several micrometres thin film of water. 10mcm film is 0.01 gram, with water's 4.2 J/(g*K) and 2 watt forcing we get dT/dt = 2watt/(0.01g *4.2J/g/K)~50K/s.. apparently, some of this warming goes away with heat conduction (albeit water is very lousy conductor, 4 times worse than solid rock, mostly due to its hing heat capacity), but

Although 1998 remains the hottest year on record due to a strong El Nino influence, the ten warmest years on record all occured within the 12-year period 1997-2008.
The last few years have seen moderate La Nina conditions which had a cooling effect on global temperatures.
However, they were still warmer than the 1990's and the last few months of 2009 have swung back to warmer El Nino conditions.

Chill the air again, by moving it over land and it produces a lot of snow. This has been seen in Greenland. Meanwhile, ice that has not melted in over 10,000 years is collapsing. Summer melt is found at higher elevations every year. That means a much greater area of summer melt. I thought Sweden had a better education system than this.

Saying that CO2 is "only a trace gas" is like saying that arsenic is "only" a trace water contaminant. Small amounts of very active substances can cause large effects. Huber and Knutti (2011) published a paper in Nature Geoscience, Anthropogenic and natural warming inferred from changes in Earth’s energy balance, explaining the effect of anthropogenic CO2, please read it.

And that is no coincidence (satellitegate explains that) The findings are premature. They haven't been adjusted yet for known bias's, and they are similar with NASA and HadleyCRU. (which means that those temps are raw data) After they are adjusted there should be a difference. By the way, they only took readings from 2% of the data.

The fact that the earth's climate is changeable -without- CO2 does not save us. It does the opposite, in showing us that the system is responsive to external forcing. The signal in today's warming shows humans are the cause, because we can tell that it's not the sun, not the oceans, not the orbit or solar cycles: The warming is from the atmosphere itself.

Gore's work essentially agreed with the IPCC's report of the time and 97% of publishing climate scientists agree with the IPCC. Gore made a few minor errors but the overall science of AGW has been confirmed and extended.
The hoax, that there is nothing to worry about, is being portrayed by a bunch of anti-science, anti-government conspiracy nuts.

Although 1998 remains the hottest year on record due to a strong El Nino influence, the ten warmest years on record all occured within the 12-year period 1997-2008.
The last few years have seen moderate La Nina conditions which had a cooling effect on global temperatures.
However, they were still warmer than the 1990's and the last few months of 2009 have swung back to warmer El Nino conditions.

I think maybe Al Gore is doing all of this because he hasnt gotten over his loss for the presidency. Whether he did deserve to win it or not is irrelevant to me. He lost and if he is doing all of this out of some kind of childish attention seeking then that is pathetic and actually disasterous in its effects.

This funny stuff. Increase air temperature an increment and you increase its carrying capacity for water vapor exponentially. Chill the air again, by moving it over land and it produces a lot of snow. This has been seen in Greenland. Meanwhile, ice that has not melted in over 10,000 years is collapsing. Summer melt is found at higher elevations every year. That means a much greater area of summer melt. I thought Sweden had a better education system than this.
