  • one of my favorite cartoons and games back then, if i could i'd play this again now.

  • imust of played this game a million times love it !

  • First game I tried on SNES. I'd like to buy it now

  • god i miss this game

  • Love this game!!

  • i really miss the 90's

  • Was one of my favorite games ever

  • BIG APPLE! 3AM legendary

  • Awesome I remember playing this when I was little, even if I wasn't very good at it back then. It was such an awesome game and had such sick ninja turtle skills.

  • Loved playing as Raph. HIGH DAMAGE FTW

  • Whyd you get hit by the ball?

  • @AILIT1 For fun.

  • I like that. Im about to play this game now, and I wont get hit by the ball

    @ShiryuGL

  • LEO...hurry up n press start :P

  • i love havin this game

  • "Pizza Time!"

  • raphael is the shit. hes the vegeta of TMNT

  • PS. this was the 1st video game i ever played. It was a colossal challenge at the time. lol

  • this game makes me want to re-live the 90's.

  • I always wondered....How Did You "Throw" a ninja through the screen...?

    Someone HELP!?

  • This is the only occasion I can think of where a console port was better than the arcade version.

  • @Kev95682: Not really, the arcade version had 4 players multiplayer, better music and graphics and one stage is missing in the conversion.

  • @Shendue You are mistaken, the entire Technodrome level is exclusive to the SNES port. There are also new bosses on the SNES versions, including the final versions of Shredder. If the SNES had 4 players, it would be perfect. As it stands, it's still my favorite scrolling beat up with Streets of Rage 2 coming a close second plac.

  • @ShiryuGL: Damn, you're right, my memory sucks. I remembered there was a surfing level missing, but maybe that was Hypertone Heist for Mega Drive/Genesis. Or maybe it was replaced with a Mode 7 level?

    Can't remember, actually.

  • @Shendue Yep, the Hyperstone Heist sewer level is walk only. No surf, no Mode 7 like stages.

  • @ShiryuGL: I guess i have to replay both once again to fix my memory. It will be a hard work, i know, but someone has to make it in the name of science.

  • @Kev95682 Another better than arcade console port was SoulCalibur. They beefed up the graphics and the unlockables really made the single player worth playing.

  • @TurtleRocker12

I always wondered....How Did You "Throw" a ninja through the screen...?

    Someone HELP!?

  • damn this brings back memories

  • this game wat the shit!

  • teenage mutant nostalgia turtles

  • this was the shit when i was 8 or 9

  • one word, BestVideogameOfMyChildhood (:

  • Ahh

    Good memories

I was 6 or 7 when I played this game

    IT KICKED ASS!

WHY WHY DID I SELL MY SNES,IF I HAD ONLY 3 WISHES I WOULD CHOSE ONE OF THEM TO GET MY SNES BACK N ALL THE GAMES I HAD FOR IT (especially this 1)

  • best game ever ;)

  • Takes me back to a simpler time. My biggest worry was math homework.

  • BIG APPLE! 3 AM.

  • i like old school, side scrolling beat 'em ups. I spent many chuck e cheese tokens on this game back in middle school !! stone protectors was a good game to for the snes, imo.

  • My personal preference. But his coloring is wrong. He's supposed to be more of a lime green.

  • a bit too easy?

this game beats the crap out of me

  • i always used Michaelangelo or Donatello

  • oww this game brings me back memories when i was a child! i love it

  • i had this game for snes, bur i never could understand why raph is more faster and more weak than the others turtles

  • one of my favorite games when i was a kid

  • Omg i remember growing up playing this game all the time and star fox.

  • this seems cool

  • pizza time!!

  • the fact that the remake on xbla lacks this original music pisses me off to no end. and kept me from buying the game.

  • It's not the music in the remake that bugs me, it's the voices. I've always liked Michale Sterinklaas as Leo, but Wayne Grayson as Mikey has become an abomination to my ears. The only character voice I think they didn't screw up in the 2003 show was Shredder.

  • @MikePitcher the fact that it was in 3d kept me from buying it

  • This is the turtles in time i loved. I didnt really like the arcade version. Thats also the new HD remake that just came out for the 360 and i was dissapointed. I really like the SNES version wayyy better.

  • @jmi84

Yeah, there were mechanic problems on the 360/ps3 version. Not just because it was 3d. For one, they could have added options, so you would move and attack in all directions, or side step up and down and attack only in two directions.

Anolog stick I think goes in only 8 directions and you run by defualt on the D pad, adding no run button. This and getting lost in battle as you can in the original worsened everything because your aiming isn't precise and makes it less fun.

  • Baxter Stockman with the gayest laugh ever! LOL!

  • different colors...different ranks...i always wanted to be a white foot soldier

  • I used to have this game. for strange thing, this game was never released in Japan. Why Konami?

  • I think TMNT were not very popular in Japan?

  • I could never understand why the foot soliders were in different colours. Anyway wicked game

  • Just an easier way to know which type of foot soldier wields which weapon.

  • yeah i suppose that makes sense......ok thanks 4 the info

  • GREAT GAME! Me, my brother and sister loved it to death! We must have rented it hundreds of times from Blockbuster! The best TMNT game available then and now! It had sweet music and TONS of characters from the show! Why is it that the show and games rocked back then, but the new tmnt show sucks and the new games suck? Oh well, who knows? Great game anyway!

  • i agreee :D

  • I knew someone else had to feel the same way!!

  • i like this one when i was a kid i sill like it

  • tnx for posting this, i used to play this game all the time with my cousin who died in an accident a while back. watching this video reminded me of some great childhood memories, tnx again for posting this

  • ur not even playing...lol..!

  • i used to play back in the days in the arcade machine i remember the dude who owned it hook it up to a black and white tv that sucked but nonetheless i played my ass out

i played this in mexico that would explain the guettoness of the black and white tv....lol

  • i no i used to play this al the time i love this game (i use raphael all the time, and michy)

  • We're all allowed to have our own opinions but who ever says that there's a Beat'em up game better than this is just wrong I mean come on, in Final Fight can you throw your enemies to the FUCKING SCREEN!?

  • OMG i was playing that yearsss ago when i was a kid, back in the time this game was amazing :p

  • is it me or is this version more 'thump thump' like

i played this on MAME and it plays like the first 4-player game...i'e your moves just go through the enemy

  • MY FAVORITE GAME CAN I PUT ON my ipod touch???

  • man, this game is WAY better that the new one that came out. they should remake this game in the same style as the old cartoon. not like the movie. that new game is terrible.

  • WOW I MISS THE 90's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • me too

  • Lol. Kicked Baxter in the ass at 3:06

  • I love the BGM music.

  • even the damn first lv was hard but the last u dont get play as in u dont get to fight can u play this on a website or somtin?

  • How did u get Raphael that color?

  • @ShiryuGL: I also still have my Super Nintendo as well. But how do you upload the video images to youtube?

  • I LIKE THIS LEVEL!!!

  • Dis is the later one...i remember there's another much older one....but not as high bit.dat is much classic...

  • Holy!!I grew up during dat era & brings back memories!!

  • I love this game I used to always rent it at the video store as a kid. I could never beat the 2nd level back then though so the 1st level brings back so much memories. I truly love this game.

  • COWABUNGA!!!

  • yeah i kinda thought that was it but it doesn't always work.. maybe it's because i'm using the keyboard (zsnes emulator).. well thanks anyway.. btw I too have a preferrence for Raphael because when I was younger I only had the Raphael toy.. I guess it was an unconcious act of loving what you have and not what you don't have.. I don't know..

  • Hey guys is there a command to throw the opponents or even bashing them on the ground from left to right because just mashing the button is kinda tiring.. Thanks.

  • I LOVE THE BOSS MUSIC SO MUCH!

  • nostalgiaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Man! I almost cry from nostalgia watching this! But is this stage at 3am in January or October? and is it Friday? and why are all the buildings lighted up at that hour? and also Baxter Stockman was much harder in the TMNT2 game for the NES

  • Okay level. I usually don't like first levels in any game. Usually to easy

  • I used to play this game with my grandfather go out and rent it and then buy a 12 pack of Pepsi some chips and play all night long!:) good times, good times!

  • you kick ass in this game!

  • i always get zapped by the super krang.

  • i remember payin this game when i was 4 my favorite game of all time

  • That was released by 1991, this game remind was by 1989 arcade verison of tmnt konami games..

    -Favic

  • This is the second best TMNT game after Tournament Fighter for the SNES. Unfortunately by the time that came out the Turtles craze was completely over and thus didn't get the great recognition it desreved.

  • i remember i would play this game so much *sigh* i miss it. My favorite fights were bebop and rocksteady(i love their names), krane and of course super shredder was the best one.
