Geek girl is right. Youtube itself is a prime example of creating a product just to be sold to a large company like google. Many entrepeuners on the internet are in the business of creating new products just to make a profit from their acquisition for a corporation. Perhaps Loic follows this pattern, I don't know his track record enough though. There's nothing wrong with this, its how innovation happens and gets implemented.

Interesting to see how many people interpreted joining open social as being bought by google. My two cents - create a seesmic application where people can view/interact with the service on various sns.
