  • This video captured my exact sentiments about the movie!..it was not all that great.

  • You should all go see Pariah. All black cast, black writer and director. Support black actors!

  • I could barely focus on the story with that horrible script. And those characters (Ne-yo... sigh).... and that arial, bold font in the beginning. This is everything my friends and I said while watching the movie.

  • yes yes!!!!! Exactly! Wrote about all this in my blog "Shit (some) black people said during and after seeing Red Tails"

  • Thank you for sharing this video! I found it very amusing and was thoroughly entertained :-)

Hmmm… too bad the Black woman in this animation is such a "one dimensional" character… The "Complaining-black-woman-with-no-justification-for-her-unpleasant-attitude". If she was actually written to have a "believable" argument, perhaps she could have given voice to the why Red Tails is so important and actually a good film.

  • @anndretta I see what you did there, lol.

  • This was so on point. Almost everything this sims character said, my brother and I said in the car ride home after the movie. The script was wrong. The casting was wrong. And it's sad to say but George Lucas' touch (which you can see in some of the editing) was wrong.

  • This guys said EVERYTHING I felt... I mean every last thing. I was so underwhelmed. I looked around the movie theater and wondered if I was the only one felt more pissed off than proud. That $100 mil should have been invested in a scriptwriter, casting director, and team of acting coaches.

  • too funny, yet sadly too true

  • I liked the movie, even though the dialogue left a lot to be desired. This video, though? HIL.AR.I.OUS.

  • Just being a Black movie can not be accepted anymore........And it wasn't a Black movie because white dollars financed it. And who ever has the gold, make the rules (or alters them).

  • You all can dislike the movie. That's fine. What you need to know that this movie was true to life portrayal of the tuskeegee Airmen. So why sensationalize that when our everyday life is just as boring and mundane. Could a black man and a Italian woman that don't speak the same language fall in love and get married? I could happen, for all we know it probably did. Why sensationalize and over dramatize a part in history when you only want the truth? Will Dr. King whup whitey's ass in a film?

  • @eljewell you're right about the producer/director not wanting to sensationalize and just tell a straight story. But my friend a straight story on FILM is boring. I went to this movie ready to cheer for these bruthas. 20 minutes into it and I was restless and it continue to the end. If this had been a story about jews it would not have been so flat.

  • I supported the movie because I want more Black films to be made...but yes, that movie was the worst thing ever. My roommate and I joked all the way through it. Funny thing is, the theater was full of White people (well maybe not full) and they were laughing. So I guess some people (idiots) actually enjoyed the movie. Then again, they were the same people laughing at the 3 Stooges trailer they showed before the film. So that really lets you know who they are.

  • Aaron MaGruder wrote it! Lucas has never been a good writer! Look, this was a blockbuster movie, that's all! Not the end all be all movie for black people. The importance was to show that a blockbuster movie with an all black cast could sell tickets so that more such films could be made... that's it!

  • I wish folks would wake up and see that George pulled this sorry marketing ploy just to sell tickets. He knows dam well, if anyone in hollywood turned him down all he would have to do is wield his power and threaten them to see things his way. After all, he is a HEAVYWEIGHT in the industry. To say NO studio wanted it and him be fine is so far-fetched. These guys know how to throw tantrums and get their way. So here we are running to the theater like roaches to prove our self-worth. Duped again

  • @12Crowns like roaches, tho? lmaooooo #truth

  • @rottenpusse The twisted irony of "roaches" running into the theater just as they run into the cracks of the ghettos.......was just me being a bit brash and sarcastic. We need to stop falling for the "okie-doke" is all I'm sayin'.

  • the opening credits were Lucas's touch. all Lucas films start like that

  • @streetsamurai1 thank you for your positivity.

  • Whatever, I loved it!

  • Yeah I walked out on the movie.

  • I thought we should focus more that there was no buffonery, no black dudes dying in the first few minutes and no black males in a skirt. I'd rather bring my 5 year old to see some strong black soldiers (!st black jesus ever on the big screen) and hear about their heroic feats than all of the Madea movies combined

  • @streetsamurai1

absolutely could not agree more. come on give props sometimes, heck props are given to black men playing on the basketball court or football field there is no argument with that.

  • If as the movie points out the Airmen only lost 65 fighters in the whole war then the exploits on the movie are actually believable. To be the first black anything in america we have to be smarter faster and better than our counterparts or everyone behind us gets screwed by our bad example.

  • The movei was dope the rest of you can kiss my black ass

  • "What was up the the bootleg opening credits? Were they 1985 Photoshop 1.0?" High school intern!!!

  • LMAO!

  • @kellyann1126 No its for the historical aspect, people want to pay homage to the Tuskegee Airmen, there is nothing wrong with that. But it sucks and there is something wrong with that.

  • @nightcypha lol

  • Thing is the marketing was all about guilt, guilt tripping like crazy even sounding like threats. If you don't see it we won't be anymore Black films. warreeva

  • I have only read the reviews but damn all them are sucky. I have watched the HBO one and that one it a lot better IMO

  • the 12year old boys I known love it.Star wars was not shakespeare either, am I spelling that right .Peace+Blessings to all and There wasn't a big budget movie with Black people in years after The Wiz boomed it was an okay film not great but if people would have really supported it that would be one less reason not to do our projects.

  • I am SOOO in love with you for making this. Fantastic!

  • LOL!!!

  • try watching tuscagee airmen or read about those actual pilots portrayed in the movie anyone knows that they are preety much as they were portrayed but from diffrent sqds who gives a damn about the all black cast or how cliche the lines or characters are its best ww2 flight combat movie to date in action scenes and how the dogfights took place anyways stupid fraking yanks if you dont know shit about why the movie was made or anything of the real story of the characters then STFU its awsome

  • The absolute truth about the movie "Red Tails." Black people wake up!!! Your supporting a movie just because it has an all Black cast? Its plot and dialog was absolutely awful!!!

  • Omg I'm rotfl! My thoughts exactly!
