  • Isn't Buffalo kinda far to buy Snickers bars?

You eat too much Snickers bars. Don't know if they contain stupefacient (but I think), in any case they give physical dependence, like heroine. Definitely.

  • @Omegaealfa: I highly doubt that.

  • What do you doubt? I think that they have some kind of drug just like mescaline-spiked milk in A Clockwork Orange.

  • dont worry, kentucky doesnt have any extra writing...only 'snickers' :(

  • Canadian wrappers say "Hungry? grab a snickers "

  • aint buffalow in canada?

  • WTF!? Hahaha. It's Buffalo without the "w" and no it's in New York. But from Buffalo to Candada is a short drive away.

  • I think the fact that the language police in canada would demand that "substantialicious" would have to appear in French in an equal sized font..

  • nice

  • lol

    that was awesome

    such great editing too

  • I love you.

  • "why must you, disappoint me so?" ahhaha

    *Snickers Addicts Anonymous.

  • someone was in a desperate need for a topic of discussion

  • From New York to Los Angeles, all across the country, you've been seeing those simple, inexplicable ads for Snickers chocolate bars. The ads show the easily recognizable and identifiable brand-logo treatment that's on every Snickers wrapper. Except that when you see these ads, instead of the Snickers name there's some other word, a made mashup of a word that 's supposed to amuse you with its cleverness and make you think about Snickers.

  • The words are "Satisfectellent," "Hungerectomy," "Substantialicious," "Nougatocity," and "Peanutopolis." They're not defined in the ads, but you know what they mean. In a review of the ads, an advertising creative director named Thomas Sherman dissects the campaign and reveals Snickers astonishing falure to capitalize fully on the ad concept. To put in Snickers' terms, while the idea behind the might be satifectellent, it isn't substantialiscious.

  • the ones i always see say peanutopilus!

  • Your right and funny to... Keep them coming and I will keep watching.

    Take care,

    Kevin

  • in aus we only get marsbars thaT SAY "BELIEVE" AND FOR A WEEK A WHILE AGO THEY SAID eARTH. THOSE CRAZY CRITTERS...=p

  • well your dollar is worth more so let's call it even

  • eyy dw us aussies dont get Substantialiscious written on OUR wrappers either. or snickers satifies.

  • I know we don't have those wrappers!

I really want one to put on my wall!

  • I snickered! Oh, puns, how I love thee. Awesome glasses FTW!!!

  • I guess they couldn't figure out how to write substantialiscious in French.

  • haha =] I believe you had one too many snickers towards the end of the video. Maybe for the Canadian wrappers it should say "Imported-goodness" =P

  • Discrimination I tell you! Unfair to canadians!

  • lol out of context it sounds , " why are american rappers substancialiscious?" which led me to think of the pros and cons of being canadian.

  • AHHHHH THE FUZZY MONSTER SEEEES ALL!!

  • i dont get them tht way in flordia

  • we don't get substantialiscious wrappers in ireland either...

  • And snickers are kind of different tasting in Ireland too. XD

  • Welcome back Nanna!

  • substantialiscious?

Isn't there something written on the inside, too?

    Snickers!

    <3

  • This says something about Canada vs. America I'd say ;)

  • That's what you get with with snickers! Mars and Lion would never do that because they are just so much BETTER! :D

  • Only the biggest size candy bar has the words on it..

    And Canadians aren't a race?

  • substantialiscious.......that is awesome.

maybe canada decided it didnt want substantialiscious snickers wrappers. sad day.

  • I may be mistaken but I don't think the English wrappers have that either! :'(

  • haha you love snickers!

that must've been an absolute beast to edit, but it was worth it (for us, the lowly viewers)

    another 5* nanalew video!

  • haha oh man

    poor Canada.

    This is riot worthy!

  • Those are everywhere here. It's interesting. :)

  • ive never seen any of those on a snicker wrapper

  • I was shocked to hear that Snickers is racist...

Until I learned about the following...

    * KitKat bar is homophobic

    * Mr Goodbar is sexist

    * M & M's are illiterate

    * 100 Grand bar defaulted on a mortgage & declared bankruptcy

    * Baby Ruth and Junior Mints have both been arrested for underage drinking and driving

Note: This comment has not been approved by any political candidate nor has it been spell checked or fact checked.

  • Why do you have Grandma glasses Midori? Is your pizza love-child with Rohan not telling me something?

  • CANADIANS ARE A RACE.

    .. WTF?

  • It's okay- I live in IL and we have "NOUGHATY" wrappers

  • For some reason you remind me of Mo Collins from MADtv

  • i love you(r humour)

    but you already knew that.

  • WHAT?! WHAT IS THE SUBSTANTIALISCIOUS MADNESS! The australian ones also lack the substantialiscious goodness! although for a while we did get mars bars that said earth on them...

  • THAT was amazing! Earth bars!

  • snickers is also racist against kiwis!

    well im about 90% sure.

I havent actually bought a snickers bar in a few months and I never actually pay attention to the wrappers anyway : P

  • lols

  • LOL ur hilarious

  • Do you know why you don't get those special wrappers? Because in this video you said "out" with a Canadian accent every time. Good Game!

  • haha, this is kristen on agof, I was just about to upload my video and i saw this :-)

every time you said substantialicious i started singing fergy and replaced fergalicious with substancalicious... which i can't spell.

  • lol :)

  • its because americans are easily fascinated with bad advertising and made up words as well as impossible to win contests and shiny things.

  • hahahaha you are freaking awesome. i love you

    -sdfg

  • Nice vid!

I really like the effect created with the repetitive plan of your fingers on the table.

  • This was good.

  • Canadians have the cool gadgets and clean streets! let us have substancialicious snickers!

  • substantialicious will spread to canada in due time

  • -blink- Glasses? When did she get glasses did i miss somthing?

  • this was so well done, go into film later on, like me! then we both shall! deal?

  • Canadian wrappers Def. don't say substantialicous.

  • My favourite exclamation is FANTABULOUS!

  • HAHAHAHA I clicked on audio preview by mistake and the way it pronounced lol was hilarious!!

  • This video truly made me LOL!

  • I havent had a Snickers in years, anyone remember when the were called Marathon bars?

  • Nice video... OH NOES!!! FUZZY MONSTER, DON'T ATTACK ME!!!

Kidding, I watched in HQ! It only took me half an hour to load the whole video. ^^

  • Hmmmphh! That IS unfair. How come Americans get all the cool stuff?!

Oh well, at least we have Kraft Dinner and ketchup chips

  • and skittles!!! ;D lol

  • Americans don't have Skittles? :o

  • they have em, but we make em! ;D

  • Indeed, we DO have Skittles. =)

  • I. like. this.

This reminds of old school Nanalew relics...

And are those specs new? They're cool :)

  • Hey, I live in Buffalo! Actually a suburb of Buffalo, but I used to live in the city... well South Buffalo... but still!

  • I was completely oblivious to this substantialiscious controversy. I'm glad you informed me. I'm very offended now. To be honest, it might have something to do with bilingualism and the wrapper needing to conform with that. Substantialiscious in french is what? Exactly.

  • Last time I ate a Snickers it said "Peanutopolis" on the back I think each indivdaul bar has a different made up word here in the U.S jealous?

  • Id only be jealous if they had people sitting there coming up with a funny word for each and every snickers bar and then painting them on by hand.

  • that is really racist

    you should sue

  • I am appalled to learn this fact and I don't know if I can eat Snickers ever again... I need Substantialiscious candy.

  • Before you said you got those from Buffalo, I was like "Did you go all the way to the United States for a candy bar?"

  • Poor, poor Canadians

  • yes, I agree dani...

  • Snickers. haha. Rasist. HA. oh goodness.

  • AWESOME!!!i think you're amazing

  • You're amazing.

    <333

  • haha good vid. it had me laughing.

  • Damnit, woman, that's MY FOOTAGE!

How DARE you use it without permission!?

(Be honest, you totally knew I was going to make this comment)

  • i didn't watch it in hq

oh and long time no see lol

  • Snickers writes even more than substancialicious on American wrappers. They have coined darn close to half dozen catchy, Snickers-related phrases on the backs of--apparently American--wrappers. This is a tragic thing to learn. But just pretend like they're going for more U.S. tourism and not personally attacking. No matter which one is actually true.

  • i live south of buffalo and i've never gotten a "substantialiscious" wrapper. :(

  • I thought it was common knowledge that Americans are substantialiscious-er than Canadians.

    jk jk jk

  • lol... I love your glasses.

  • That's a majorangriousss crime and a gigantuaniouss oversight by Zzznikkerzzz.

  • I love Snickers too much to be angry about Snickers in Canada not being substantialicious.

That's gonna be my new favorite adjective after Gargantuan

Could U pick me up some wings next time you go to Buffalo...then have them shipped hot to Vancouver. hah hah

  • the fuzzy monsters gonna get me! ahhh!

  • I Agree

  • Nanalew I love you! (that rhymes)

I feel your pain. Snickers are too fast and loose with their advertising!

  • I love the word substantial.

  • western new york rulezz <3

  • That's insanely unfair.

    *shakes fist at the sky*

  • cool
