My condolences go out to all of the families who have lost someone. And this needs to be stated, they do withhold some information from the public so this little 5 minute clip does not tell the full story of something that took a year long process.
This is ridiculous and out of proportion. The district attorney does not go after people just because he his friends with the people who have lost a loved one, that is not how the justice system works and whoever put this video up clearly does not understand the legal system. It is rather unfortunate that the situations mentioned in this clip occurred but not being friends with someone in the legal system makes them a target is way out there.
Steve Allen did not ask Benito to go after the girl.
The stress caused by being falsely accused of manslaughter, especially for a 16 year old female, has got to be EXHAUSTING for the poor girl and the family, especially in an accidental case.
And then we have the Martinez family who lost their son to an ignorant, jealous boyfriend. And they don't even get a case even though there is CLEAR video evidence that this was totally a sucker punch to the side of the head.
Justice won't bring Adam back, but it will PREVENT future harm to anyone else.
The context in which it was intended was to show the disparity between the two cases as far as being charged criminally goes. Unfortunately, there is no time in a short You Tube video to tell the full story of any of these cases and keep the viewer's attention. We are simply fed-up with selective justice. We would love to hear the full story if you feel like telling it, Adam Martinez has a Facebook page, you can tell your story there.
Your comments on the death of the RPD officer's son are taken out of context and you don't mention the full story. I agree with a majority of the video posted, but you are way off on that comment.

It is painfully obvious that District Attorney Gerry Benito does not even know the
meaning of JUSTICE FOR ALL. His creed has been proven to be JUSTICE FOR US! (the few and the connected)
While dozens of Shasta County homeowners were having their homes ripped off
over a period of 4 years, he ignored request for help and written/faxed notices of the attempted and completed thief's. Where was Gerry Benito? M.I.A.
