  • so inspyiring...amazing.. please chek out our song God Created Earth, We Created Heaven!

  • Love and appreciation :)

  • perfect :)

  • There is amazing music. And then there is this.

  • @MagicMan1581 ?

Not sure what that hints towards.

  • Post Rock Proves there is hope for the future of music!!!

  • Good taste in music brought me here...

  • omg!!! its great!

  • The one thing I absolutely, posivetly hate about this song is that.....it's not long enough :{

  • fab 5 brought me here.

  • Thumbs up if you feel better after hearing this.

  • This is the kind of music we all should listen to...it's some of the most gorgeous, epic music I've ever heard, and, yet, not a single word is said. Now that's powerful...there's something about this song that is both inspiring and insightful, making you want to be introspective while thinking, all at the same time, that maybe, just maybe, this world could be a better place. Never heard of this song or band until yesterday, when I heard them in a little cafe, but I can't get enough of it now...

  • I knew about this song before I knew about the Fab Five Documentary because I really love the entire genre of post rock, but I'm coincidentally watching the Fab Five Documentary right now and, knowing that this song is on it, listening to a ton of Quiet while watching the documentary. This is dope.

  • We are going to belly dance to this song in two shows next weekend! <3

  • Yes Fab Five Documentary got me here months ago..but now when I wake up, when If I have had a bad day, if I go to the gym, if I need to think, and when I go to bed..this is the song I play.

  • @rayatum15 Same here, that outstanding documentary brought me here, but now the song means something much deeper to me.

  • This makes Metallica seem childish. Lol.

  • @wilbert916 that because Metallica is childish.

  • they say rock is satans music, this is the music of god

  • Comment removed

  • definitely thumbs up thats what brought me here

  • I wish there's a repeat button..

  • @xVankyess there is..

  • I really like this song, they should do a vocal version aswell

  • @DubDivisionOfficial Nah, the magic about post-rock is that it does not need lyrics to express something. The expression takes place in everyone´s head...and its a little different for everyone :)

  • @KnorpelDelux You're right man, I apologize for my awful comment ;)

  • @DubDivisionOfficial Wasnt exactly aweful ;) I mean there are post-rock songs with lyrics. "Travel is dangerous" by Mogwai is a good example of how the human voice can be used in post-rock. Although even then it is more of an instrument by the sounds it makes rather than being used to sing words with specific meanings.

  • thank you .

  • @taylor1hp you mean fab five lol

  • I blame cigarretes , but listening to this song , sit on the ground , smoke a cigarrete , I close my eyes .. and I feel like i am in another world.. this is so powerful and intense, just amazing!

  • To me Post-rock is about being alone. It's like a sudden realisation that everything isn't as bad as it actually seems. To me this song is about someone special; someone I love, and whenever I start to wonder if i would be better off without her I listen to this song and realise I would be nothing without her. Post-rock is more then music, it's raw emotion. Actions speak louder then words

  • Wow.. Just saw this is in a shortfilm about a kids life getting destroyed by drugs.. Actually really set the atmosphere.. /watch?v=mC4JwhUi-3Q (Just Say No: Short Film)

  • Sooo good

  • anyone else think this sounds like it could've/should've been in Friday Night Lights at some point?

  • I LOVE TEXAS music.

  • This song just makes me feel like the relief after a fight when your finally alone and that adrenaline high is wearing off and you realize the moment is over and your head is decompressing like landing in an air plane everything seems still and quiet.

ohh and srry orange I meant to direct it at mr kobra kyle.

  • beautiful..

  • Beautiful. Just, wow. Beautiful <3

  • This is how music can explain your feelings without a word.

  • This is music at its true essence. Pure and whole without a human voice, Just a musical voice.

  • if everyone laid on their bedroom floors and listened to this song, i think we could all find a way to change the world in the morning.

  • @charmingandawkward thanks for the comment

  • @charmingandawkward I clicked on this while lying down on my bedroom floor, i love finding new great music

  • @charmingandawkward Im on the floor and thinking.

  • relax....

  • I don't really know why, but my eyes develop a tear every time I hear the beginning of this song...

  • love it

  • 3 people should be destroyed.

  • They detroy my soul, and i like it !

  • SMOKY distortion. so good.

  • This is music that makes you think of all the good and bad from your childhood.

Music like this makes me think of my dad. The beginning part of the song is the saddest part for me, but towards the end i get a bit of anger that he was taken from us to soon. Love ya big guy, i miss you. I will see you again.

  • @kman45 ditto. i feel you bro. keep fighting im there with you

  • Wow..

  • They don't need words to express themselves

  • that one person who dislikes this.

    I will hunt you down.

    p.s this song is gold!

  • wow i cried when i heard this :D so beautiful.. i'm usually into heavier music than this but how can anybody hate music like this.. it is truly amazing.

  • Thumbs up if you heard this on the Fab5 and thought..that's a cool track

  • Beautiful.

1 person definitely doesn't know what good music is even if it were to slam it against their face with the hammer of Thor.

Props to the band for being so musically inclined.

  • Great tune. Sounds alot like Dredg.

  • lol you guys talk like you've never heard intrumentals before.

  • "pure emotion"

  • fuck those uncle Toms at Duke, fuck Duke, fuck Yankees. Fab 5 was the shit.

  • FAB 5! Good Muzik!

  • How did the edit guy or producer for the Fab 5 come across this is my question.

  • I heard this on the Fab 5 doc. I had to find it. Its #epic

  • it always amazes me how songs like this get found for tv. Like one of the many that came here because of The Fab 5. I was sitting in my room like "this music is perfect for this" . So deep without saying a word. just like explosions in the sky

  • thumbs up if the fab five documentary brought you here

  • @rtill228 What five documetry?!?! I feel like I'm missing out :)

  • @withbuzzinginourears fast five it was a documentary on espn.

  • @rtill228 Yeah buddy!!!

  • I agree. I keep watching the end of the Fab Five documentary and loving the perfect blend of sound and visual. As a huge fan of the Fab Five, the use of this song in the final montage invoked a feeling of sorrow in me over what might have been. It also brought back feelings of excitement over being such a big fan back in the day. Friday Night Lights also uses this same type of music to perfection in its score. I love music that stirs up different emotions in different circumstances. Brilliant!

  • My God. Incredible. You guys touch my soul.

  • baš lijepo :)

  • listen to explosins in the sky.. and jakob

  • Music used in Fab 5 Doc...great song choice.

  • God.

  • if your having a hard day you could just sit back relax and listen to this. No matter what it will always help, it what i believe is pure. No words just pure emotion through a song with only instruments. Very well done song and is played amazingly. Words wont be able to explain the masterpiece this band put together through this song

  • 1 man is stupid...

  • /watch?v=gz0RAPmp8DQ

  • I wish the song would never end.

  • No work, girl I like avoiding me it seems, grandpa in the hospital right now, cousins girlfriend lost their child..........I need someone to hold right now :(

  • @Zombl337 Sorry man

  • Not sure if it's just for me, but the sound of this video skips a ton.

Good thing I have all their stuff in 320kbps >:]

  • @xbry89x Fancy sending me this one? :}

  • there no words to describe this feeling :(

  • Quite possibly the most beautiful song I've ever heard. That is all.

  • music of the decade

  • This is so beautiful, i started to cry. seriously.

  • @XSISunSearcher want a hug? *hugs XSISunSearcher*

  • @pickupartistwannabe Thank you... Have a happy new year. :D

  • @XSISunSearcher Same thing happened to me the first time I heard it. I literally sat down and cried through all of this EP. Nothing Can describe the overwhelming wash of emotions you get from listening to this.

  • @XSISunSearcher

    ... lol, yea me too.

  • whit this song .. Life on earth Shall end ..

  • This is the only video I have seen on youtube that has only 1 dislike.

  • the instruments potray the emotion of the song so well... it can just take someone else to a different world where you dont need lyrics to tell you what is going on... such a great band and such an amazing track as well

  • @phobia932 Very well said

  • The day after my best friend and I were in a car wreck, I woke up to this song playing on her mother's ihome in the hospital. Rest well my friend, I'll see you again one day.

  • @aethrio :hey I know your pain, words and songs are not enough to express what is going on. This band, this song, and also Explosions in the sky- your hand in mine have greatly given me the strength again. I lost my best friend 3 summers ago in a car wreck. I hope you are doing well.

  • @russelmf09 Sorry for your loss. Good news is though you'll see them again, dont forget that.

  • It really is an amazing thing when people can come together and express themselves through something so beautiful. It allows each of us to feel connected as one and without that bond, people have nothing. The real magic behind this is that you are left to interpret ts flow as you see fit, there is no "correct" translation.

  • beautiful

  • Just checked this out at random here. Had never heard of the band, but I am definitely heading out this weekend to buy or order this album. Radio doesn't play this so YouTube is the perfect for finding this sort of stuff. Thanks for posting it. Also, nothing wrong with lyrics, a good wordsmith is hard to come by, but instrumental music is just so good.

  • irepress>this will destroy you

  • 1 freak that doesnt like this.. poor guy

  • I think it's hilarious that all these people think that instrumental music is somehow on a "higher level" than music with lyrics. What fucking bullshit, writing good lyrics is just as hard as writing a good song if not harder. Yeah it's a good song, but there's nothing exclusively special about it. Fuck. I should have better things to do than this.

  • this WILL destroy you.

  • "1 dislike? im gonna need 1 bullet"

oh my god just kidding. im sick and tired of music vids with that on their highest rated comments

  • Gives me chills every time I hear it.

    Absolutely amazing.

  • AWESOME but are all their songs like this, just music not words

  • @123zxcvbnmlp yup

  • @123zxcvbnmlp

Yeah... It's post-rock, pretty much every band in this genre lacks lyrics. But, that's not a bad thing.

  • just found out i'm seeing this band september 10th in columbus. they're opening for deftones.

  • @dadoftwins031404 awesome. are you going to the newport by chance??

  • @M3e90414 yes. i absolutely am going to the newport to see deftones. are you?

  • @dadoftwins031404 I'd like to, but I'm not in Columbus atm.

  • Too Good For Words

  • I love how bands, bands like this, can express themselves without needing lyrics.

Better yet... we can form our own lyrics-our own images-with this music. This song... all of their songs... they're different for each person.

    And that's something I love.

  • @OrangeStainedGlass

check out Sigur Ros - primarily their album "( )"

    and explosions in the sky

two other bands that really allow you to sub in your own lyrics

  • @OrangeStainedGlass Agreed, i find myself singing random thigns that come straight from my psyche. What the song makes me feel i just sing out. if that makes any sense...

  • @OrangeStainedGlass That's also called Post-Modernism.

  • @oranstaindass stfu dickwad

  • @OrangeStainedGlass Try Liquid Tension Experiment. Thats a good one too.

  • Things don't have to be complicated to be beautiful.

  • Not their best, That does mean that it's still awesome though.

  • Wow.

  • Amazing

  • I like taking their songs and making up my own words to sing to them.

Just gorgeous. I love this band so much.

  • an honest depiction of a quiet mind

  • this band still has alot of work to do..music is still to predictable and not..far reaching enough....playing it safe...know what i mean

  • @trufiend138 I think they are just a really simple post-rock band.

  • @trufiend138 ???? Have you listened to their other stuff?

  • @trufiend138 i totally agree. if thats what tour looking for check out an irish group called "GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT". briliant. ive seen them twice.

  • lyrics are over rated. think for urself

  • Uh. Wow?! It's amazing that we don't have these guys topping the charts... instead we've got talentless Black Eyed Peas... awesome? lol

  • @SuperChickBritt Blame the music industry controlling it all to maximize their own profits.

  • very amazing

  • AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

A swirling sound of emotions screaming so loud that they're quiet.

I heard this band for the first time 4 years ago and they've haunted me ever since.

    Keep playing.

Thank you for the moments you filled my life with.

  • I like this, but I see screaming as an instrument in screamo-type music. Lyrics are cool and I will look them up and connect them in the same way that I may connect a poem with an unrelated song because of tone. The actual lyrics may give a song greater meaning because it sort of fleshes it out, but that's it for me. Screaming vocal cords raw is just something that matches very dissonant music well. It adds another level to a song's catharsis/denoument.

  • I know what your talking about, although I think it might take away from the actual effect of this band, instead of adding to it. If you like screaming added to a slow paced, more relaxed feel; you might like Enslaved, however, they do have a lot of black metal, but I still think you'd like them.

  • Black metal is one of those genres where someone will have their bands of choice already and is kind of meh about other stuff. At least that's how I am with it. I don't even listen to the bands I like anymore really. Thanks for the suggestion though. Hearing something new is never bad ;)

  • @wrar

I won't disagree, but there are times when people simply run out of words.

  • finally, a band with so much musical talent, they dont need to hide behind words

  • @AutumnToRemember Do you like Explosions in the Sky?

  • @AutumnToRemember Don Cab, Explosions in The Sky...

  • @AutumnToRemember try listenin to explosins in the sky- six days at the bottom of the ocean. and Jakob- saftey in numbers

  • @AutumnToRemember check out ghosts and vodka

  • @AutumnToRemember I won't deny that this band is goddamn amazing, but I wont say they have a ton of musical talent. If you want instrumental music that is pure talent that doesn't need words, look at all instrumental jazz, or animals as leaders, chimp spanner, scale the summit. Not trying to say this band is bad! I really like them. Just sayin that its not pure talent.

  • @likuidflaememan Agree with you bro, except the instrumental jazz part. When you start looking into musical theory you find that jazz is just alot of complex dickery and by that I mean. If the key is G and it remains such anyone who knows a few scales and modes can sound like they know what they are doing with a bit of technical practice. I love jazz I just don't *feel* much from their *songs*. On the other hand This Will Destroy you writes INCREDIBLE SONGS without being technically incredible.

  • @Smikey6667 Yeah. I know my theory, but have you actually looked at jazz? They only have the key signature so you can read the melody correctly. The chords you then solo over are usually weird and have nothing to do with the key signature. Check out Inner Urge by Joe Henderson. That does not stay in the same key the whole time. Scales do help, but you have to dig deep to find how to play them with the chords. Or you have to use arpeggios all over the place. But these guys are amazing I agree.

  • @likuidflaememan If you judge talent as being a virtuoso, your right. I love that stuff, but one thing I believe about music is that it doesn't have to be complicated to be great. Sounds like you agree.

  • @beansandcornbread Yeah. Of course. Classic rock man. Not complicated at all. Still awesome. This band is a good example too. :P

  • hell yes

  • <333

  • Amazing.

  • I agree, absolutely amazing!

  • Good picture and great song.

  • nice
