  • I really want to learn this song, but even after reading about irish prononchiation and spelling, it is still impossible to read the lyrics aloud :/

  • @RavenofDenmark I know, its no secret that irish is hard to learn. But after studying it since you were four years old you kind of get the hang of it

  • I only understand English but this is a beautiful sounding song even though I can't understand it without something translating.

  • @shanepowermurphy

sorry man i think ya mean 'go hiontach' :/ xx

  • Dea-amhrán ar an am seo den bhliain.

  • Pádraig Pearse, many of your fellow Irishmen *myself included* owe you a great deal simply for this song, let alone everything else. If even one man remembers to sing this song every Easter, then you will never be forgotten and those brave men who took their stand in Dublin will never have died in vain. I only wish that I am alive to finally see peace in my home, and all who can will sing this song to remember you. oro se do bheatha bhaile: Oro, You're welcome home.

  • @MrVlogWatcher Every Easter Sunday, religion first, I'll recall the Jesus's ulimate sacrifice for us. Also, a remembrance to those magnificient lads that gave their most valued possession, their lives, for Ireland's freedom.

  • What does "Oro Se Do Bheatha Bhaile" mean?

  • @superrangerkid1997 oro se do bheatha bhaile: o-ro your welcome home

  • @Holm182 He also plays on the song "Red roses for me" on the same (double) CD 25 years celebration

I love irish pride end great musik sound.Pease to IRELAND.My love to all irishmand, from Bosnia-Hercegovina.

  • @welshperson123 its called Gaeilge. gaelic is a sport. :]

  • 1-2 @welshperson123

"Welsh is Gaelic. Welsh, Cornish and Breton (language of portions of Brittany, France) are " Brythonic' Gaelic. It is the language that was spoken by the people of Britain at the time of the Roman conquest.

After the Romans left Britain; the island was invaded by Angles, Saxons, Danes and later by Normans. The five languages combined to form the modern English language.

(Normans were Vikings who raided and settled in the area of Normandy France)

  • 2-2 @welshperson123

The Gaelic dialects spoken in Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Highlands of Scotland is called "Goidelic" Gaelic.

"Gaelic Irish (Gaeilge), Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) and Manx (Gaelg)"--Wikipedia

("Scots" is a dialect of the English language.)

Both Brythonic and Goidelic are "Q-Gaelic" languages. That is Celtic languages from Western Europe. The Celts lived in many parts of Western and Central Europe and in some areas of Anatolia before the Ottoman conquest..

  • @welshperson123 they are both in the Q-celtic languages so they have some simularities.

  • Fight with all the strength and courage you can muster, do it and never stop. Spill the blood of tyrants, for a man of self esteem can never accept the coercion of another, nor permit his fellow man to be coerced.

  • Ná riamh a thabhairt isteach, a thabhairt suas! Ní hÉireannaigh ar fud an domhain, codladh go dtí go bhfuil ár n-oileán amháin agus saor in aisce!

  • @safnyc89 Eireann go brach mo chara

  • @safnyc89 beadh muid mar seo go deo a chara , nil aon dram mar na hEireannaigh

  • @saaamysaaaywhaaat Go raibh maith agat, mo dheartháir.

  • @safnyc89 Ni bheidh Eire un saor aisce a chur ar a suaimhneas

  • Is this the song sang by the irish rebels in the film "The Wind That Shakes The Barley"?

    Perfect, by the way!

  • @Kuszely You bet it is!

  • @Kuszely yes it is the song ,

  • @deirjon
