My Dad retired from British Gurkha Army on 1985 yet he's more concerns about what happening in UK than in Nepal,It Doen't mean he couldn't careless about Nepal but 30 yrs of active duty as a Gurkha and several year as a line boy (Bhanja) does reflect on where his loyalty is set on....... thanks god that he retired as a Gurkha Major.

Joanna Lumley's father was a Major in the 6th Gurka Rifles and she is proud of her fathers service. She literally had to same the British Political system in order to get this in place.
