This is a wonderful , dreamy track. But why are we condoning what is essentially lazy humdrum nonsense. The hardest days of one's life are not about spliffing up in some Brighton doss-house. Grow up and take some responsibility for your life.
I so wanted to like them. My favorite person ever loved them. I listened to them and barely could stand them while they were still novel, but yet could never quite get there. I even went to a show of theirs, overpriced it was, but I HAD to, because the most wonderful person in the world loved them. So, 20 years later, I am still trying to like them, but all I can get is a sick feeling in my stomach and memories of the wonderful person I left.
Taken from the best & most complete Cocteau Twins Cd.....The brilliant 'Four calender cafe'.
I absolute love the great use of the Acoustic guitar on these tracks ,which somehow soften the sound very slightly & you can make out what liz is saying on most of the tracks...
When I was 18 I moved to Brighton, into a really run down, cheap student house. My friend and I in the house had barely enough to buy rollies and eat, but we saved up enough change all week to buy £10 worth of hash, which we'd smoke surrounded by 30 or so candles and enjoy life for a few hours. Those weekly Cocteau Twins sessions got us through some of the hardest months of our lives.
I already like this song, but just WOW! Incredibly wonderful imagery. I am floored. Great work. I really love how the images come in flashes and fade to black.
Brings me back to time when I was 16 and so much in love.. It was 14 years ago.. Time flies.. the good memories always stay well kept inside songs like these.. I love this song.. The video shows the nice flow of the song, well done..
thank YOU for this lovely vid, so well done! this was the first piece i was introduced to off of the FCC lp. and i was hopelessly in nubb too, let me tell ya!

Somehow listening to this song makes it okay for 3:35 mins to live in such a corrupt, messy world ruled by thieves. Somewhere to take cover..

Moreover they attracted two guitar players, that stayed for 3 years, and recorded 2 albums.
The relationship between her and mr. Guthrie went bad in that period.
Guthrie still makes esthetic music. In my opinion, with a lack of an angel.
Liz is said to be recording an album, but this information has not been updatd for four years.

Keimpe
