Saw Mr. Numan in Southampton last week, Down in the Park was the opener. The sounds from the old analogue synths are spine tingling compared to the more modern variants.
Nice one mate ,more talent in your right hand than all of the so called museos of the top 100 chart singles thingys, just by total chance i herd a guy playing it on violin the other day busking in Manchester, i think its one of the most underrated riffs ever..keep it up...Nikolai
Hello mate, that sounds spot on, i love it...I don't know if you can help me bacause i'm just getting into these things...I love the original Doors sound on the old Vox Continental Organ and was wondering if there was any Electric modern Keyboards that can re-create that sound? Cheers for any info!
In the 70's one was able to input more of the individual's sublimated energy.
.
Less murders happened in society because of the greater satisfaction obtained by so many; using devices that had fewer computerised components in them than do the current models.
I wouldn't say less murders happened, what with domestic violence skyrocketing after the return of people from Vietnam and children from the baby boom years becoming young adults, but there was finally an understanding of how to utilize new mediums of sound. It's amazing how far we went in less than a decade... Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" was one of the first instances of bringing synths into mainstream in 72'... and look at where the sound is in just 1979 with Gary Numan. Very nice.
Dear Eeveegou., Thanks for your message and suggestion that indeed more murders were committed because of the fewer murders happening in war zones of the era. . And the general increase in population. . The murder rate goes down when there are things to do, including playing with more knobs than was previously possible. . Do you suppose there are new medium of sounds to study and then utilize by today's students for the music market of the morrow? . Cheers. from, del-boy.
Good stuff. Just bought a Polymoog yesterday. Do you know that it has gate and CV out so you could play the Mini from the Poly's keyboard (at least the Polymoog Synth did - not sure about the preset version)? You can split the keyboard and play both parts at once on the Poly's keyboard.
Nice work. I have two Polymoog's a 14 preset keyboard version like above, and a Polymoog synth. I even have one of those Roland CR-78 drum machine for that Telekon sound.
What a setup!!! Jeez man. Do you have the footpedals to go with the poly? THats not a far cry from the never produced Moog Constellation. You just need to get yourself some Taurus Pedals and when you land on the moon, call me and we'll jam!
Hi, i've been looking for a polymoog for a while, would you consider selling me yours? im very interested on it, please let me know what you think about.
well done with that!! two great instruments being played perfectly, its abrilliant sound you get out of the Polymoog and equally the Minimoog is pleasing on the ears!! A credit to the original aswell!!
A POLYMOOG now has an high value for vintage collectors,is not easy to find one,and often has technicals bad functions(The time is assassin for these machineS)unfortunately because I also I'd like to have one in my house...ever loved his sound by NUMAN,JOHN FOXX,ULTRAVOXX and all the crew by the 70/80's...Oh the goodtimes sigh!
great version. Love the polymoog keyboard vox humana preset. But the strings of the real polymoog synth with are the best ;D vintage analog synth rulez
Totally brilliant and thanks for sharing it with us. I just love the Vox Humana on the Polymoog, best synth sound EVER. I would love to hear you do some more esrly Numan stuff on the polymoog.....pretty please.
thanks for posting this. My dopamine levels have just went through the roof. loved the tune, loved those chunky analogue sounds. No modern synth can recreate the ambiance of the early moogs. There is something about them that taps into my innermost pleasure centres.
this is the real deal, man. saw someone attempt this tune on a Triton once, sounded like a bunch of farts & one dimensional. no character or power like these analog Moogs
Wonderful, I just wish Mr Numan would get back his Moogs and play the old songs like they should be played....Thanks for posting this up here liquidscreamer.....please please please give us some more of the early stuff played on the Moogs, its what we really want to see and hear. Thanks.

is the synth monophonic?
keyboards in the 70s created so much hard work for the player dont u agree?

The Minimoog is, the Polymoog is, as the name suggests, Polyphonic. The Polymoog did often break down, though, so not many were sold.
