ER-6N is not yet sold in the US. As soon as it hits the dealerships beginning 2009 I'm gonna trade my V-strom for this one. Awesome bike, sells great worldwide for a couple of years now, I have no idea why Kawa has not introduced it in the US market before!?
How could you! Man, that's my dream bike. Don't do that! Please! I'm just kidding, but I wouldn't do that to my bike. I had no idea, that the ER6N was sold in the U.S.A. I was looking at the Versys and I found out today, that the ER6N was the one. The versys was a nice option, but awkward. I'm sorry....but the ER6N is the winner!!!
For sure Sv650S is better tool on the track ... as a commuter both bikes are simmilar... If U want to do wheele Er is better option then SV ... SV suffer for oil starvation when front wheel goes up.
plus the inline twin sounds so much better. meaner. its deep like the v twin but its able to be high pitched too. but the sv's still got the better engine. no giant power drop at 9k and a much flatter toruqe curve. and when u start modifying it, only midrange gets better (v stacks, full exhaust) but u do the same mods to the 650r and u not only flatten the torue curve to match th sv, u also get a nicer top end
wanna hear an awesome inline twin? search "650r leovince sbk" and thats only the slip on :) or check out my vids, zzr250 with pods and full exhaust :)
@Ashitaka64 Honestly, once or twice is alright. BUT it hurts your front brakes your chain, your front and rear wheel bearings are affected, your engine reving so high obviously will wear it faster. just don't do it often, you'll have the bike longer

@igorgrujovski in the begining he shows that the tire will be changed since the marker is on the same level with the tire

I'm in the market to buy a new bike and have been looking back and forth between the Suzuki SV-650 and the ER-6n. How do they compare?

If you compare it stock, yes, the SV is a better track tool. Mod both out and the ER6 has the upper hand. Take a look at the Mini-Twin Series now...

@carsnwomen91 A parallel twin's top end will definitely be better than a V-twin. And the ER6 has a better race basis compared to the SV.

I 've just bought ER6n. But I can't imagine treat so bad my bike ever. What's all about this tire burning....;/;/;/....

I did this video just before changing my tires.
original tires were worn.
it was just for fun
Now, I don't no more.
